4 1 Package conens The ineracive uni 1.5m USB cable Projecor moun ki (including screws) Poiner & ligh pen (including baeries) Sofware CD

5 2 Insalling he hardware Plug he USB cable ino he USB socke. Adjus he ineracive uni so ha he module is direcly above he projecor s lens. Then align he ineracive uni s lens and he projecor s lens ino a verical line. Afer adjusing he ineracive uni, ighen he screw on he ineracive uni and on he fla meal bar o secure he ineracive uni in place. Slide open he lens cover on he ineracive uni. 6 3 Insalling he sofware Place he Sofware CD-ROM ino he CD drive and copy he LighPen II folder from he CD-ROM ono your PC s hard disk drive. Execue he LighPen II.exe sofware direcly. Afer execuing he program, he LighPen icon should appear in he ask bar. Lef click on he ask bar picure and hen selec Preview Window. A previewing window should now appear. 8 Noe Do no run he applicaion sofware sraigh from he CD.

7 Insalling he sofware (coninued) Check if he projecion image is wihin he viewing window. 8 Lef side is ouside viewing window 8 Righ side is ouside viewing window 8 Top is ouside viewing window 8 Boom is ouside viewing window 8 Projecion image is oo small 4 Projecion image is wihin viewing window Afer making sure he projecion image is wihin he viewing window, close he lens cover. Now you can enjoy he ineracive funcion by opening he LighPen II sofware.

8 4 Selecing he disance Lef click on he LighPen II figure in he ask bar. Selec he Projecion Disance. Choose he projecion disance from he pop-up menu (>3m, >2m, <2m), and hen click OK.

9 5 Calibraion Lef click on he LighPen II icon in he ask bar. Selec he Calibraion. For he poiner, place he ip on he cener of he green arge and press he buon. For he ligh pen, press he ip of he ligh pen on he cener of he green arge. The colour of he arge should change from green o black. This calibraion sars from he upper lef hand corner o he boom righ hand corner hen o a Z shape in he middle of he screen. The calibraion is finished when all 13 arges urn black. To ensure opimal precision, hold he ligh pen or poiner in he same direcion during calibraion.

10 6 Using Mouse mode (defaul) The ligh pen can be used insead of he compuer mouse. Direcly press he ligh pen agains he screen as if you were pressing he lef mouse key, double pressing he screen for he double mouse click, or choose he righ mouse key buon on he LighPen Tool Bar o righ click on he screen. When using he mouse funcion on he oolbar, he poiner will auomaically change o he righ mouse key if he poiner says in he same posiion for 2-3 seconds.

11 7 Using Pen mode A line can be drawn wih he poiner or he pen. In order o coninue o emi IR ligh from he ip, press and hold he buon on he poiner during drawing. While he pen is pressed agains a hard surface, IR ligh will coninue o emi. The fineness and colour of he line can be changed. The drawn image can be saved wih he background image. Inerchanging beween he Pen and Mouse funcions Place he pen ip or poiner slighly ouside he projeced image on he boom or op and press he buon o swich beween he pen and he mouse funcion. Anoher way o change beween he pen and he mouse funcion is hrough he oolbar. To change ino he mouse mode, click on he ; o change ino he pen mode click on he. Noe To place he oolbar on he lef or righ side of he screen or hide he oolbar, place he poiner or pen slighly ouside of he projeced image on he righ or lef side and press he buon.

12 8 Accessories Poiner Ligh pen Pen ip wih ouch sensor LED Lamp Buon (Mouse lef key) Cauion There s a sensor on he ip of he pen. When pressed, energy is consumed from he baeries. When he pen is no in use, please swich i off o avoid power consumpion by clicking he buon on he oher ip of he pen. (To check if he pen is swiched off, check if he pen ip is red when pressed agains a hard surface.) Power swich While pressing he buon an infra red signal is emied from he ip of he rod and he CMOS sensor in he projecor deecs he posiion of i. While he IR is emied, he LED Lamp also lighs red. 1. Posiion he ip of he poiner on he screen. 2. Push he buon o click he arge as a mouse or push and hold he buon o draw a line as a pen. When he pen ip is pressed on a hard surface, an infra red signal is emied o he projecor which uses a CMOS deecor o deec he posiion of he pen. When infrared signals are emied, he pen ip will emi red ligh. 1. Posiion he pen ip anywhere on he screen 2. Press he ip of he pen on he hard screen. To draw lines, choose he pen ool.

13 9 Icon funcions Toolbar posiion To posiion he oolbar on he righ or lef side of screen. Mouse To change he pen o a compuer mouse funcion. Mouse righ key To change he pen o a righ mouse key funcion. Mouse double click To change he pen o a double mouse click funcion. Pen hickness To selec he hickness of he pen. Colour of pen To selec he colour of he pen. Red pen To change he pen colour o red. Green pen To change he pen colour o green. Blue pen To change he pen colour o blue. Black pen To change he pen colour o black. Highligher To change he pen o a highligher. Eraser To erase drawing on he screen all a once. Clear all To erase drawing. Redraw To recall he previous drawing (or erasing) you have made. Save file To save he curren page ono your compuer.
