Click Search and type in the name of the program. Recording with the Webcam: Click the Webcam video button o If Movie Maker Options pops up, the settings should look like this. Available audio devices: Microphone (Logitech USB Headset) Available webcam: Integrated Webcam; You can always recheck the options by clicking File/Options to make sure the headset is selected. When you finish, click the Stop button. The file will automatically ask to be saved o Create a folder on the Desktop with your name o Save your video clip in the folder After saving, the clip will be added to the timeline (the main work area for videos) Saving your project This keeps track of your editing progress. You should save your project often just in case Movie Maker crashes. To save your project, you can go to the File menu and select Save Project. Other ways to save your project include the keyboard shortcut ctrl + s, or clicking the save button. (When you are finished with your project, you will click Save movie. If you are NOT using the same computer to open your project you will need all the files that were used (the project file, pictures, videos, music, etc ) to be saved on a removable flash drive/usb device. Saving your finished Movie: To save your movie as a finished film go to the file menu and select Save Movie o Then select Recommended for this project or For Computer o Make sure the file type is set to Windows Media Video File Additionally you can save your movie by clicking the Save Movie icon located to the top of the page If you save your movie it will save as a single file and you will not be able to go back and edit it further. Publishing your Film: To publish your film, first save. After you have saved your file, choose one of the publishing options above. You may choose YouTube (if you have an account), or any other type available
