2 Who are the Newark Knights? Our Mission To provide sports programs that emphasize the importance of academic achievement, sportsmanship, teamwork, good character, community and parental involvement. Through our competitive programs we encourage respect, leadership, and discipline to promote positive growth of our youth as they become responsible adults. 3 Introduction to the Team: The Newark Knights Youth Football & Cheer in conjunction with Just Play Community Programs is a non-profit organization committed to serving youth athletes 5 to 14 years old in the Bear/Newark area. From the Board of Directors to the Coaching Staff, our program is 100% run by community volunteers. A Community Effort: After the unexpected dissolution of the Bear Texans Youth Football and Cheer Organization, which serviced our community s youth for the past 5 years, the Bear/Newark area was left without a local youth football team and with over 150 dislocated youths from their football home. In an effort to resolve this unexpected urgent problem, the former Texans Board Members and Staff began working diligently to create a new organization for the 150 youth athletes who were unknowingly dislocated from playing football in Bear, DE. Our efforts and perseverance have created the Newark Knights Youth Football and Cheer Organization. Costs involved in starting up and running a community based youth football organization are numerous. From uniforms and insurance to equipment and referees, all expenses need to be fulfilled before th Newark Knights can take the field. Unfortunately, only a portion of our financial needs are met through registration fees, which are intentionally kept around $300 to allow as many kids to participate as possible. We need help from the local business community to help us achieve our financial goals. This team could not function without support from businesses like yours through our corporate sponsorship packages. Your sponsorships are vital and provide an opportunity for children who otherwise may not be able to participate in a sports team of this caliber. Our sponsorship program provides you with a blend of options that include in-person and online marketing opportunities. 5 Sponsorship Levels Sponsorship is a great way for businesses to support our team, and a very inexpensive way to promote your services to a targeted audience of families / potential customers. Your help through team sponsorship will be acknowledged accordingly. The following are our sponsorship levels: Platinum Sponsorship. $2000 Recognition & advertisement on the Newark Knights Youth Football & Cheer Website & Facebook Page Random run-of-site banner ad in Sponsors box on all pages. Sponsors box banners are 150 x 100 Personalized "About Sponsor" page (banners can be directed there or to your own Website) Sponsorship messaging will be remain on the site through July 31, 2017 Sponsor can post bi-weekly advertisements to the Knights Facebook page Sponsor Advertisement or Coupon on Team Cards (Handouts) The Knights will print 2000 of our Team Event Cards with our sponsor s advertisement/coupons on the back.
