2 The Northbrook Civic Foundation, a volunteer, non-for-profit organization, needs your help to make a difference in the lives of the citizens of our local community. To sustain our charitable giving activities, we are asking area businesses to become sponsors or our 2015 Northbrook Days Festival. No matter what level of sponsorship might appeal, we have created a variety of opportunities that will not only contribute to the success of Northbrook Days to raise funds for local community needs, but will provide recognition and awareness for your organization. Since 1950 the Northbrook Civic Foundation, through the support of local businesses and residents, has distributed over $3 million dollars to local community organizations. This was achieved through the success of the Northbrook Days Festival, held every year in Northbrook s historic Village Green Park. Attracting 20,000 to 25,000 from the surrounding suburbs, this 5-day festival generates revenue of over $500,000. Those in attendance enjoy carnival rides and games, live entertainment and delectable food and drinks served by local establishments. The financial support of our sponsors allows Northbrook Civic to deliver a first class event for the enjoyment of many and meet its philanthropic goals. On the attached pages you will find a list of recent contributions made by the Civic Foundation. Our plans for the coming year include the disbursement of our Northbrook Days funds to non-for-profit organizations serving community residents in our area and the distribution of scholarship aid to Glenbrook North graduating seniors that demonstrate strong involvement, good performance in the classroom and financial need. The more successful the Northbrook Days Festival, the more financial support we deliver to those in need. 3 The Northbrook Civic Foundation ( Civic ) funds tangible assets and provides startup grants for local programs/services of non-for-profit community organizations. In addition, Civic also funds an active scholarship program for Northbrook residents, filling a financial needs gap for those desiring to pursue a college or trade school education.
