2 A way to write numbers to show the value of each digit. (3,217=3, ) The least common multiple of the denominators of two fractions. 2/3 and 5/6 6 is the LCM. A whole number that has more than 2 factors. (20-1, 2, 4, 5, 10, 20) The largest factor 2 numbers have in common. 10: 1, 2, 5, 10 20: 1, 2, 4, 5, 10, is the GCF of 10 and 20. The smallest number that is a common multiple of two numbers. 12 is the LCM of 3 and 4. A whole number that has exactly 2 factors. 1 and itself. Ex. 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29 The middle number (or the number in between the two middle numbers). 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 The median is 5. The difference between the greatest and least number in a set of data. 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10 The range is 7 because 10-3=7 Polygons with the same shape, but not necessarily the same size. A flat surface that extends infinitely in all directions. Useful for thinking about lines and line segments. A.K.A. Average Add up all of the numbers and divide by how many numbers you added. The number or numbers that occur most often in a set of data. 1, 3, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 The mode is 3. A polygon with all sides and angles the same size and shape (congruent).
