Knowledge of how gametes are formed and why the two alleles carried by a parent must separate.

4 Assessment Number 11 Calculate the outcome of genetic crosses. The student should be capable of doing dihybrid crosses involving straight dominance, incomplete dominance, and sex-linked traits. Assessment Number 12 Demonstrate an understanding of the role of changes in the genetic code to changes in genotypes and phenotypes. (1) The student should know the constituents of DNA. (2) The student should know how changes in DNA code lead to changes in genotypes and phenotypes. Assessment Number 13 Describe how life on Earth has changed over time. The student is to know how life began and ho changes in earth environment has lead to changes in existing life. Assessment Number 14 Trace the relationship between environmental changes to changes in gene pool. (1) The student is to know how survival of the most well-adapted organisms produce changes in gene pools. (2) The student is to know how DNA must be modified for changes in gene pools to occur.
