2 Introduction A PLC and HMI a in one unit! Mape Systems HMC7000 Series The HMC merges the entire functionaity of a Controer and an HMI into one unit. It provides visua feedback and direct access of automation contro systems on the factory foor, or anywhere an operator interface is needed. The HMC7000 Series connects to various input devices (pushbuttons, proximity switches, sensors) and output devices (actuators, motors, vaves) using a moduar or buit-in I/O that is controed using an interna program. This a-in-one contro soution eiminates the need to purchase a separate HMI and PLC. 4 Hardware with the Extra Touch The HMC7000 Series offers many hardware features that enhance the capabiities of these units. Vibrant Dispays The 4.3 & 7 modes are fuy controed via touch screen, supporting 32K coors for high quaity graphics. The 5.7 and 3.5 modes use a 320x240 pixe dispay that support 32K coors. The 2.7 modes incude a screen with six different coors on a back background. Change the coor at any time during operation. Direct Contro Six function keys are avaiabe on most modes. The 3.5 and 5.7 modes aso support a touchscreen that aow you to dispay buttons when needed. The two smaer modes have numeric keypad input for data entry. Define each function key as a goba key or the function can change according to screen. The LEDs on each key are programmabe this aows you to customize the function of each LED. USB Every HMC7000 has a USB port for upoading/downoading projects. A A-M modes have an additiona USB port to record important data and store it onto a fash drive. You can aso use a fash drive to downoad/upoad projects. 4

5 Ethernet Connectivity HMC7043A-M and HMC7070A-M modes support Modbus master and save over Ethernet (10/100 MB/S). Input/Output Expansion Modues The I/O modues for the HMC7000 Series offer a wide range of options. Seect digita modues avaiabe with high-speed inputs or outputs with sink/source as we as reay options. Anaog input/output modues support votage or current mode connection. A HMC modes (except the HMC7030A-L) have expansion sots so that you can configure your unit to meet the requirements of your project. The HMC7030A-L mode has tweve digita inputs, six reay outputs, and two NPN-type sourcing outputs buit into each unit. PLC Connectivity Every HMC mode has a seria port to communicate to your favorite PLC. The 7 and 5.7 modes have two seria ports for connection to two PLCs. The HMC7043A-M has a singe seria port that can use a Y connector for dua connectivity. The PLCs do not have to use the same communication driver. Seria Printer In addition to supporting PLCs, you can connect a printer using the seria port of the HMC. 6 Product Line-Up Seect Your Modue Buid your HMC7000 to your specifications by attaching various pug-in modues to the expansion ports on the back of the Graphic HMC. The 5.7 and 7.0 modes support up to five expansion modues. The 2.7, 3.5 and 4.3 dispay modes support up to three expansion modues. With a wide variety of I/O modues avaiabe, you can customize your HMC according to the requirements of your contro system and expand the capabiities as needed. The termina bocks on each modue can be removed from the modue aowing the technician to insta connecting wires then mount the termina bock back into pace.
