5 How to Use Warp Cick "Speed Up My PC" if you woud ike Warp to scan your system registry and certain hard drive ocations for errors. This wi open the Warp Speedup Wizard, where you can specify how you woud ike Warp to inspect the items in your system. 3

6 Shortcut Keys Reference The foowing shortcut keys can be used within the program to save time. At+F4 Quit appication F1 Open hep documentation Ctr+O Restore previous state 4

7 Main Window The main window contains the foowing: Speed Up My PC The button and command ink to perform a registry scan. Restore Warp automaticay creates system restore points prior to performing any system changes. Cick "Restore" to bring up the Windows System Restore utiity which wi aow you to revert back to a previous system state. View Logs Warp creates ogs whenever performing system changes. Cick "View Logs" to bring up a window containing a of the ogs. Scanning History Warp wi keep track of the ast time the various tasks had been performed. Computer Performance Score This score is based on your computer's potentia, and on the things that are dragging it down. Cick Update to recacuate this score. 5

9 Screen References - Performance Score The Performance Score is a measure of how we your machine can, in theory and in practice, hande arger programs and arge amounts of resources. Higher scores mean that a computer can hande arger programs and resources more quicky and efficienty. Lower scores mean that a computer wi not be abe to hande these arger programs or resources as fast as a more powerfu PC. Warp itsef might not be abe to increase this score. Ceaning up the registry and turning off boot programs may hep, but your hardware wi aways be the bottom ine. Update Update your performance score. 7

Services run in the background to provide functionaity to other programs, ike the printer service, which handes print jobs sent to it by other programs when you te them to print. Schedued tasks wait unti a certain time or event, and then run. Some are part of windows, or other programs you have instaed. Others are there simpy to show you ads on a reguar basis. 10

Likewise, many browser extensions and toobars insert additiona advertising into webpages as you browse. Annoying as this can be on its own, downoading a these extra ads aso sows down your web surfing. The options to restore your homepage and defaut search engine wi ony be avaiabe if they have been atered by something. If the options are disabed, it means there is nothing to fix. 11

Temporary Internet Fies Fies stored ocay by your web browser for quick access. If they are needed, the browser wi automaticay downoad them again, so they can be safey deeted. If you are on a sow connection, and usuay visit the same sites a ot, you may want to keep them. Thumbnai Storage Whenever you browse a foder containing pictures or video, Windows creates sma thumbnai pictures as a preview of the fie contents. If you have ots of pictures and video, these sma images can reay add up. They are safe to deete, Windows wi make them again when they are needed. 12

16 Screen References - Warp Speedup Wizard ~ Defragment As a hard drive is used, particuary when neary fu, it begins having to break fies into pieces to fit them into the remaining empty spaces. They get reassembed when you need them, but this takes time, sowing your computer down. Defragmenting is a process that reorganizes your hard drive so that fies don't have to be broken into as many pieces in order to fit.
