2 Feet Management Air-Weigh On-Board Scaes Sef-Weighing Trucks and Traiers Every truck and traier brings its own scae to the oading site. Check-weighing at a truck stop scae made sense before trucks became sef-weighing. Avoid overweight issues that cause: Wasted hours of service Wasted out-of-route mies and fue Overweight fines Waiting in ine to re-work the oad Missed deivery schedues The Air-Weigh scae system converts air pressure in the truck and traier air springs into a very accurate, onthe-ground weight. The more weight on the vehice, the more air pressure required to maintain ride height. Once caibrated, Air-Weigh dispays the weight of the axe group to within 300 bs. (140 kg) of a DOT scae when operated propery. It is much more accurate than an air gauge. The Air-Weigh Tractor and Traier Scae come with an Aarm Output function which is a buit-in feature. The Aarm Output can be connected to any aarm/buzzer or LED device to aert drivers and oaders when a truck is nearing or has reached its weight capacity. The Aarm function is controed via menu-driven software in the Tractor and Traier Scaes, which is controed via a keypad in its cover. The aarm is easiy turned off by pressing the ESC key once. The LoadMaxx Scae offers severa innovative features incuding an interface to J1939 / CAN bus, two programmabe weight aarm outputs, an interface to an incinometer, and enhanced sef-test diagnostics. The J1939 / CAN bus interface aows dash dispays and on-board computers to easiy obtain weight information for wireess transmission to feet headquarters, or for viewing by the driver in the cab. Two aarm outputs can be used to warn the driver when an axe group weight or GVW exceeds ega imits. Parking on an incine can resut in uneven pressure on a vehice s suspension, which affects the accuracy of a scae reading. With the incinometer option for LoadMaxx, the weight dispay, J1939 outputs, and aarm outputs, are turned off when detecting an incine that wi affect weight reading accuracy. The LoadMaxx scae is avaiabe with or without an optiona Air-Weigh dispay device. Drivers see steer axe weight, drive axe weight, gross vehice weight, and payoad weight. Caibration is as simpe as seecting the CALIBRATION menu, then entering the empty weights when the vehice is empty and entering the heavy weights when the vehice is oaded. Once the system is caibrated, steer, drive, traier(s), GVW and net payoad weights wi be dispayed on the 2 in-dash dispay. Easy to Operate To weigh most accuratey, the vehice shoud be parked on a eve surface with the engine running and the brakes reeased. The height contro vave shoud be in good repair and set at factory-specified ride-height. The suspension shoud be briefy defated, then aowed to return to ride-height with the brakes reeased. When the numbers stabiize, weight to within 300 pounds of a DOT scae wi be dispayed (many Air-Weigh customers caim accuracy within 100 pounds, with a itte practice).
