2 3-8 Math Testing Window March 9, 2015 to May 15, 2015
3 3-8 Math Session Length 1 session of 25 questions take first by every student 2 sessions of 15 questions (after this year these sessions will adapt) 1 session of 15 questions
4 3-8 Math Performance Tasks 1-2 performance tasks (two parts or one session) Piloted no data will be available this year Will be used to determine cut score Scoring: distributed scoring model all online before end of school year Great PD opportunity
5 3-8 Math Test Tickets 3-5 grades no calculator allowed 6-7 grades will have a basic four function calculator and a scientific calculator (TI-30X IIS) available to them through KITE 8 th grade will have a basic four function calculator, a scientific calculator (TI-30X IIS), and a graphing calculator (TI 84) available to them through KITE New graphing calculators will not be available for students to practice with until Spring 2015
6 3-8 Math Formula Sheet Printed formula sheets will no longer be allowed Formulas and/or conversion factors will be available in items that are not directly assessing the knowledge of the formula or conversion factor.

10 Grade 10 Math Performance Tasks There will be no performance tasks for high school for the school year There will be performance tasks in the school year
11 Grade 10 Test Tickets There will be a total of 4 testing tickets 1 for the 25 question session 3 for the 15 question sessions Districts must administer the 25 questions session first Districts will have access to all three tickets for the 15 question sessions at the same time Districts can determine which sessions they would like to group together after the 25 question session is complete
12 Grade 10 Math Calculator 10 th grade will have a basic four function calculator, a scientific calculator, and a graphing calculator (similar to the TI 84) available to them through KITE New graphing calculators will not be available for students to practice with until Spring 2015

16 Where are the formatives and practice tests located? Answer: Both of these are located within the KITE system. CETE has created a limited number of formatives and practice tests available for schools to administer to their students. For instructions on how to set up at test please read Test Setup (PDF). This document is also located on the KAP Website under the Documentation Section.
17 Is the test builder option available for formatives in KITE? Answer: The test builder feature will not be available this school year in KITE. The plans are to have this feature available for the school year. Therefore, schools are limited to the tests and items currently in the KITE system.
