4 The Manchester Road Race has never had a Title or Presenting Sponsor but is open to explore possibilities with any interested party. A significant multi-year financial investment would be required. Please contact us to begin the process. Principal Sponsors A Principal Sponsor for the Manchester Road Race makes a Sponsorship Investment of $30,000 or more. Benefits include: Exclusivity for business category in all tiered sponsorships (Principal, Contributing, Supporting) Program ads, promotional sponsorships, and broadcast ads and promotions sold by Fox CT, WTIC and WMRQ radio are not covered by this agreement. Please see page 7 for more details. Mention in MRR publicity, press releases, event announcements, etc. including Finish Line PA announcements on Race Day and mentions on Fox 61 TV. 6 Media Sponsors The Manchester Road Race enjoys exceptional, high-quality relationships with media outlets across the region. Each year, we partner with top-level media outlets to maximize Race awareness and participation. Our official media sponsors in 2016 include Fox 61 TV, the Hartford Courant, WTIC and WMRQ radio. Other Supporters In recent years, The Manchester Road Race has created other sponsorships including the official pace car, official beer, official hotel, and official timekeeper of the Race. We are always willing to discuss the creation of new, mutually-beneficial promotional sponsorships with potential sponsors. Have an idea? Tell us! King & Queen of the Hill Introduced at the 2014 Race, this special Race-within-a-Race to determine the first male and female runners to reach the top of the hill proved so popular that we ve made it an annual feature, with special promotion, cash awards for the winners, and sponsorship opportunities. Mini Cowbells In 2016, The Manchester Road Race is producing a quantity of souvenir mini-cowbells. (Small quantities are included with some of our customized promotional sponsorships.) Special sponsorships are available that would provide a larger quantity of these cowbells with the MRR logo on one side and the sponsor s logo on the other for the sponsor to distribute to employees, customers, and/or on Race Day. 80th Anniversary MRR Dinner Dance 2016 will mark the 80th Running of the Manchester Road Race and we're celebrating with a gala dinner dance black tie and sneakers optional! We last held such an event on our 75th Anniversary and it was a very successful, well-attended affair. Promotional sponsors for this event will receive recognition via on-site banners and table cards, announcements from the dais, and tickets for the event, plus our usual array of promotion elements. Road Race Saturday Sponsorships If you're interested in our Saturday-before-the-Race activities which include the Sports & Fitness Expo and Little Manchester Road Race (both popular and well-attended free events), we have sponsorship packages at the $1,500, $2,500, and $10,000 investment levels. These provide opportunities for displays, handouts, giveaways, demonstrations, programs, and interaction that differ from Thanksgiving Day. Road Race Program Advertising A limited amount of advertising space is available in our full-color program. We print and distribute 15,000 copies of this valued souvenir edition each year. Spaghetti Supper - The evening before the Race, we host a huge spaghetti dinner for runners, volunteers and sponsors. Sponsorship of this dinner is available at $5,000 which includes an entire promotional package. Press Conference - The week prior to the Race, we hold a comprehensive Press Conference attended by VIPs, journalists and sponsors. It s an exciting beginning to everything happening during Race Week. 6
