1 Subject: Amendment in Technical Specification for Outdoor types Distribution Transformers upto and including 100 KVA (i.e 16 to 100 KVA) with & without CSP (Completely Self Protected) features. Sr. Technical No. Specification No. 1. S-174/DD-177/2008 for Outdoor types Distribution Transformers upto and including 100 KVA (i.e. 16 to 100 KVA) with & without CSP (Completely Self Protected) Existing Clause Clause : The LV bushings shall be housed within the metallic enclosure with sealing arrangement so as to avoid any possibility of tapping of supply from the busing terminal. The enclosure shall be made with sheet metal of thickness not less than 2mm and powder coated. Enclosure shall have provision for pad locking arrangements. This metallic enclosure should have different compartments for housing each item i.e LT CT meter, LT CT s, LT Capacitor, MCCB (if provided),gsm/gprs Modem (The failure of any item does not effect the working of other items) and insulated aluminum bus bar of suitable size should be provided to cater full load capacity of transformer. Amended Clause Clause : The LV bushings shall be housed within the metallic enclosure with sealing arrangement so as to avoid any possibility of tapping of supply from the busing terminal. The enclosure shall be made with sheet metal of thickness not less than 2mm and powder coated. Enclosure shall have provision for pad locking arrangements. This metallic enclosure should have different compartments for housing each item i.e LT CT meter, LT CT s, LT Capacitor, MCCB (if provided),gsm/gprs Modem (The failure of any item does not effect the working of other items). 2. -Do FASTENERS: The Clause 5.14 may be added with: 2 Nos. anti-theft fasteners of steel on two diagonally opposite corners of the tank shall be provided. All nuts & pins shall be adequately locked. 3. -Do- - New added Clause 13: LT PVC Cables The DTs shall be supplied with appropriate size of Single Core Cable(s) (unarmored) of ISI mark and duly type tested from reputed testing house / laboratory. The owner shall have the exclusive right to demand for type tests certificates or copy of ISI

The metal box shall have pad-lock arrangement & complete protection from dirt, rain water & other pollutants and shall comply to IP:55 protection or better. The complete unit of transformer(s) and all other accessories shall be supplied by putting all of them in circuit. 5 -do - New added Clause 15: RATING AND TERMINAL MARKING PLATES: There shall be rating plates on the transformer containing the information specified in clause 15.2 of IS:2026-

3 1977 (part-i). Total 50% & 100% load losses of the transformer should also be mentioned on the rating plate. The following additional information must also be punched on the plate and imposed two opposite sides of the body of the T/F. i) Purchase order No. & date ii) Date of inspection iii) Property of DHBVN iv) Make v) Guarantee period. 6 -do - New added Clause 16: GUARANTEED PARTICULARS: TECHNICAL The guaranteed technical particulars of the transformers shall be given by the tenderer (Annexure-I) along with the tender. Terminal connectors must have type tested as per IS : The bushings shall conform to the relevant standards specified and shall be outdoor. The bushing rods and nuts shall be made of brass material 12 mm diameter for both HT & LT. The bushings shall be fixed to the transformers on side with straight pockets and in the same plane or the top cover. The tests as per latest IS 2099 and IS7421 shall be conducted on the transformer bushings The bushings shall conform to the relevant standards specified and shall be outdoor. The bushing rods and nuts shall be made of brass material 12 mm diameter for both HT & LT. The bushings shall be fixed to the transformers on side with straight pockets.
