Let s celebrate the year for all Rotarians and give a warm welcome to our newest Rotarians who have joined Rotary in the past year. This one day conference is economical and entertaining- a great combination for any Rotarian who thought that they couldn t afford the time or the treasure to attend a District Conference in the past. Book a room at the Hyatt on Friday or Saturday night for only $150 per night. Conference registration is $183 IF you book a room on Friday or Saturday, or $250 for a Conference-only (no room) registration. Spouses attend all educational sessions as our guest, and only pay for their meals as they go. The first 100 new members who book a room at the Hyatt get a $50 Conference discount. We ve lined up a fantastic agenda of events for you to enjoy on Friday prior to the Conference. You can choose the traditional District Golf Tournament, do a service project in Baltimore City or take a variety of tours later in the afternoon. Tours include the Horseshoe Casino, Spirit Cruise of Baltimore Harbor, a walking tour of Little Italy or a tour of historic Camden Yards. Friday night join us for a wonderful poolside reception on the roof at the Hyatt. The official Saturday Conference includes our traditional Four-Way Test speech contest final, interesting speakers, entertainment by the Gallaudet University dance team, a variety of educational sessions, followed by a new take on the House of Friendship that is sure to be educational AND a lot of fun. The Scramble is one of the primary forms of tournament play for golf associations, charity events and the like. A scramble is usually played with 4-person team, and handicaps will not be applied. Rules of play: Each player tees off on each hole. The best of the tee shots is selected and all players play their second shots from that spot. The better of the second shots is determined, then all play their third shots from that spot, and so on until the ball is holed.
