9 target group analysis how are students living in Stockholm and how would they like to live? 29 % of young people are living with their parents ( 5 % more than 2001) the majority of those living with their parents would like to be independent and move out if they could find an accommodation. 44 % young adults are living in their own apartments (7% less) down to 18 % the number of people living in rented apartments decreased to 18 % since 2001 and most of them got the tenancy through contacts, standing in line or found it on blocket.se, lägenhetsbyte or moved into an apartment of a partner. just 23% are living in condominiums and two percent in private houses young adults in Stockholm county are living with their parents involuntarily and aren t able to move out. more than 30 % of young people living in their own accommodations, are living in insecure tenure i.e. at relatives or friends, in student housing, with sublet or in rented rooms. in many cases young people are living in overcrowded accommodations. source: Hyresgästföreningen, Hur bor unga vuxna 2013?
