3 New Technology Powermotion s armoury of cutting equipment has been bolstered by the recent installation of a brand new 4000 mm x 2000 mm flat bed laser, increasing our capacity and broadening our laser cutting capabilities. Powermotion is currently running two 4 kw lasers capable of productively cutting: 25 mm Carbon Steel, 15 mm Stainless Steel and 8 mm Aluminium. The 3000 mm x 1500 mm laser is also linked to a ground breaking material handling appliance The Tower Server will enable the automatic loading and storage of up to 30 tonnes of raw material. Combined with automatic unloading of cut parts, lights out manufacture can be implemented. Therefore a high volume of work can be taken on at lower rates than our competitors. With exceptional, sustained quality, Powermotion prides itself in providing customers with a first class service every time. The introduction of a structured express delivery service will allow for same day, next day and 48 hour nationwide deliveries of laser cut plates irrespective of our daily capacities, however, these don t come with the customary huge premium. In addition, the entire operation is run by a small experienced team, the company ethos being based on lean manufacturing with prices reflecting this. 3

4 Press Technology Bolstering our impressive flat plate processing capabilities, Powermotion have invested in state of the art CNC press braking facilities. The Durma AD-S CNC Synchro Pressbrake is capable of pressing parts up to and including 3050 mm in length. The machine comes complete with the following attributes: Numerical control Cybelec ModEva 10S control unit with offline programming software. Y1, Y2, X, R, Z1 and Z2 (6-axis traverse) Sick C4000 guarding Quick Set Sheet Support Quickset support arms are mounted on a linear guide way and ball bearing system that allows finger tip lateral and vertical adjustment of the front support arms. CNC controlled motorised crowning. With our table crowning device, the need for shimming is eliminated. Upon entry of the normal part programming data, the proper setting is automatically calculated while also allowing for manually adjustment. This is done incrementally throughout each step of the program to ensue complete angular accuracy throughout the part length. For maximum flexibility our Guilfil PE20 60 ton fully programmable pressbrake with 2 metre wide gap and 100 mm stroke with automatic backstop covers smaller and more intricate bending requirements. Top and bottom tooling Our comprehensive tooling inventory is supplemented by our unique ability to provide a design-and-make service for non-standard tooling. Such is the accuracy of our laser cutting, we can actually cut a string of press tool profiles that, when assembled in series, form a laminated press tool. An inexpensive way of fulfilling our customers bespoke requirements. 4

6 CNC plasma Powermotion now offer CNC profiling with Hyperformance Plasma HPR 260XD Hypertherm cutting technology combining high speeds, rapid process cycling, quick changeovers and high reliability with revolutionary bolt hole technology to 20 mm, virtually dross free cutting to 32 mm and production piercing to 40 mm. (for stainless steel equivalents BHT 20 mm, DFC 32 mm). For greater thicknesses oxy fuel cutting is employed for profiles up to 150 mm carbon and mild steel. The range of CNC profiling now available allows Powermotion the flexibility to find the best customer solution for each profiling requirement. 6
