Our conference centre is conveniently located in Calgary s Victoria Crossing district, just south of the Calgary Tower and west of Stampede Park. Housed on one floor (9,600 sq. ft.), The Kahanoff Conference Centre accommodates up to 250 people in comfort fostering ideas, discussions, productivity and, above all, relationships. We offer six different rooms for meetings and gatherings of every type. Each is bathed in natural light and outfitted with the latest technology and communications equipment (including teleconferencing, videoconferencing and webcasting). As well, our facilities can be configured to your specific needs: reception, boardroom, theatre-style, classroom, dining and more. Our knowledgeable staff are dedicated to meeting more than expectations. We deliver exceptional service and attention from pre-event planning to post-event wrap up. Part of what makes The Kahanoff Conference Centre more than a meeting place is our approach to community support and action. The meetings, retreats, workshops, forums and other events held here help support dozens of local community groups in their day-to-day activities. We are pleased to offer charitable and non-profit organizations reduced rates for the use of our conference facilities and services. Our conference centre also serves communityminded private sector organizations that want to reflect the principals of social responsibility. We are also pleased to announce that our conference centre facilities will increase with the expansion of our building, the Kahanoff Centre. Construction of a new 17-floor tower will begin in 2008 and will provide a variety of new options and gathering places for our conference centre clients. The Kahanoff Conference Centre is a way of giving back to the community and giving more to your meetings and events. 5 Our conference centre is business comfortable. It is spacious and relaxed, and easily accommodates groups of eight to 250. Our facility is known for its calm surroundings, modern design and warm natural light. The heart of The Kahanoff Conference Centre is a grand foyer (3,168 sq. ft.), an inviting area where guests can be welcomed and hosted in a casual or formal style. Wrapping around the foyer is a coat room, washrooms, a kitchen serving area, the conference centre administration offices, and six flexible meeting rooms. Room 201 Our largest meeting room (1,650 sq. ft.) can host 150 people at a reception or seat 110 people theatre-style, 54 people classroom-style or 70 people at round tables. Three double doors open onto the foyer; the west end of the room is wall-towall windows. Room 202 At 641 sq. ft., this room can accommodate 18 people around a large boardroom table, and 10 more seated bench-style. Windows face west and north. Rooms 203 & 204 These mirror-image rooms can each seat 20 people theatre-style, 14 people at round tables, 14 to 16 around a boardroom table or 15 people in a circle of chairs. The north-facing windows provide excellent views of the Calgary Tower. Room 206 A highly efficient corner room, perfect for groups of eight to 10. This northfacing retreat offers an excellent view of the Calgary Tower. Room 207 Our most private meeting area faces south and can seat 15 people theatrestyle, 12 people at a round or boardroom table, or 10 people in a circle of chairs. To control lighting, all rooms are equipped with motorized and manual window blinds. In addition, all meeting room chairs are ergonomically designed. We offer full-day, half-day (a.m. & p.m.), evening and Saturday room bookings. Parking Two-hour metered street parking is available on both Volunteer Way SE (Centre Street) and 12 Avenue SE. Full-day parking is available in nearby parking lots. Two disabled parking spaces are available on the south side of The Kahanoff Centre. Additional parking arrangements for evening and Saturday events can be coordinated through the conference centre with advanced notice.
