5 SELECTING YOUR MEETINGS The meetig schedulig process aims to optimize the meetig prefereces betwee LPs ad GPs i accordace with orgaizatioal characteristics ad ivestmet strategies idicated by both groups selectios. This process occurs i late September/early October. I order to assist GPs with makig iformed decisios regardig their LP selectios, we share iformatio: the followig Geographic ad sector focus size Miimum, average, ad maximum ivestmet GPs will receive up to 10 oe-o-oe meetigs durig the two day evet. I some cases, two LPs may be scheduled together for a GP meetig time slot. I order to esure the meetigs are relevat for all, both LPs will either be prospective ivestors or existig ivestors. The ILPA has a proprietary software tool that aims to optimize the meetig schedules i accordace with selectios that GPs ad LPs provide as per above. 5

6 A LOOK AT THE MEETING SCHEDULING PROCESS MEETING OPTIMIZATION PROCESS HOW THE SYSTEM WORKS Whe LPs ad GPs log i to the meetig schedulig system, they are asked to select oe aother based o a scorig system betwee 1 ad 5. Category 1 is ideal match, category 2 is preferred match, category 3 is eutral, category 4 is ot ideal to meet with, ad category 5 is caot meet with. Durig the optimizatio process, a algorithm will traslate ito a schedule that attempts to meet mutual iterests. The electroic meetig schedulig system will use the selectios to optimize the meetig schedules. The goal of the system is to fill LPs ad GPs meetig schedules with their top prefereces, which will result i matches i categories 1, 2 ad 3. Category 4 meetigs could happe but are very ulikely ad Category 5 meetigs will ot take place. Categories 1 ad 2 are the top selectios for the LP ad the GP ad the system prioritizes these prefereces. FINAL MEETING SCHEDULE: The ILPA will sed a fial meetig schedule to the geeral parter orgaizatio two weeks prior to the GP Summit. IMPORTANT NOTE: GPs have the optio to opt out of their requiremet to rak LPs, alteratively receivig a schedule filled with LPs that raked them highly. GPs still have the optio to select up to five LPs they caot meet with. This optio has bee well received i the past ad may be a viable alterative for GPs whose prefereces are ot as structured as others. AIFMD PROCESS: I 2014, the ILPA put the followig process i place to assist registered GPs i their compliace efforts with respect to the AIFMD. I summary, GPs will oly be able to see a Europea based LP if that Europea LP has previously solicited a meetig with that GP by rakig them as a 1 (Ideal) or a 2 (Preferred). Europea LPs will be asked to make their GP selectios i advace prior to the meetig schedulig system beig opeed up for all GPs ad the remaiig LPs. 6
