12 MAIN PROBLEMS OF GDYNIA HUB A small area next to the hub determines mobility solutions Many transport operators, vehicles (ZKM, PKS, private) 267 buses, 81 trolleybuses, 9 rapid/regional PT lines, 72 bus lines incl. 6 night buses, 15 trolleybus lines, 2 national ferry lines, X international ferry lines, 9 transport operators; Not clearly determined transport priorities in city policy Imprecise roads investments in the neighbour of the hub Transport functions need to be developed around the hub but not at the cost of public space Not many service points for travellers Local bus stops are highly dispersed, hard to follow for tourists PT system. Bus stop with lines to northern parts of Gdynia 350m away from hub. Rada Miasta Gdyni 31. października 2012r podjęła Uchwałę nr XXIV/506/12 w sprawie przystąpienia do sporządzenia miejscowego planu zagospodarowania przestrzennego części dzielnicy Śródmieście w Gdyni, rejon ulic Jana z Kolna i projektowanej Nowej Węglowej, który będzie obejmował m.in. Plac Konstytucji.

19 LOCAL ACTION PLAN The aim of Gdynia s Local Action Plan is to redefine the hub and the Gdynia Central into a friendly for travelers, tourists and inhabitants of Gdynia area: prepare drafts of development strategy for Gdynia Central hub area deliver complete information about timetables, rules and costs of transportation design and plan to adapt interior of train stations with services which are helpful for travelers (e.g. shops, restaurants, passenger information, luggage lockers) create concept of systems like Bike&Ride, Park&Ride, Rent a bike adapt all of hub area to needs of people with reduced mobility
