2 Ceremony and Reception Spaces Southern Theatre (also pictured above) The most popular choice for weddings, the Southern Theatre, can accommodate both weddings and/or receptions on our newly refinished stage. Ceremonies take place in front of our grand drape with guests seated in the intimate auditorium. After the ceremony, guests gather in our beautiful lobby for cocktails while the bride and groom take pictures throughout the theatre. Finally, the main curtain opens dramatically to reveal an on-stage reception for up to 150 guests. The Theatre accommodates up to 900 guests for a ceremony and up to 150 guests for an on-stage reception. Pricing begins at $2200 for the first four hours, $135 for each additional hour Complete access to our newly renovated dressing rooms is included. The Theatre is directly connected to the Westin Hotel for the convenience of your out-of-town guests. Ample paid parking is available across the street in the City Center parking garage and next door in the Westin parking lot. A policeman will be on site to help your guests cross the street. Capitol Theatre If you are looking for a room with a view-the Capitol Theatre lobby is the perfect place for your reception! Located in the Vern Riffe Center, this modern and swanky reception area features a coat check, built-in bar and extensive marble tiling. The floor to ceiling glass windows give guests a fantastic view of the Ohio Statehouse and the breathtaking Columbus skyline. The lobby can accommodate up to 220 seated guests and 350 guests for a cocktail reception. Rent is $200/hour. 6 tables and chairs are available for use at no extra charge. Extensive parking is available in the connected Riffe Center garage.
3 Ohio Theatre For all of its 79 years, the Ohio Theatre has been known as a symbol of sophistication, elegance and immense beauty. As the Official Theatre for the State of Ohio the Spanish-Baroque masterpiece is booked year-round with symphonies, Broadway shows and CAPA s famous summer movie series. Our Galbreath Pavilion is a beautiful location for larger gatherings. The Pavilion features floor to ceiling windows, pink marble walls and a beautiful lighted staircase. The Pavilion can accommodate up to 200 seated guests. Pricing for the Galbreath Pavilion is $200/hour. We do not charge for set-up or decorating time-only for the length of the reception. Access to our full catering kitchen is included in the rental of the Galbreath Pavilion. 60 rounds, 6 and 8 banquets are available to rent for $5/table. Chairs are also available for $.50/chair. Lincoln Theatre Built in 1928, the Lincoln Theatre was once the pride and joy of the King-Lincoln District. Located on Long Street on the near east side, the theatre was home to Central Ohio s flourishing AfricanAmerican culture and was a Midwest precursor of the Harlem Renaissance. The beautiful Egyptianthemed auditorium has been host to such performers such as Etta James, Ray Charles, Sammy Davis Junior and Nancy Wilson. After many years of vacancy and neglect, the Lincoln Theatre Association was formed to revitalize this historic landmark. The ballroom can accommodate up to 200 for a seated reception and 300 for a cocktail reception Rent is $1000 for up to five hours in the ballroom on the day of the reception, with a per hour rate of $125 after the first 5 hours. A discounted rental rate of $250 (for up to 3 hours) is offered for access to the space the day before the scheduled reception.
4 200 chairs, twenty 72 round tables and a dozen 6 banquet tables are available for rent in the Ballroom Use of the Lincoln Theatre Marquee is free for the day of your event. The Lincoln Theatre is quickly becoming a popular venue for ceremonies as well. Please ask for additional details regarding the rental of the first floor theatre. Food and Beverage information Any licensed caterer is welcome in CAPA s facilities. For your convenience, please see our list of preferred caterers for the names of trusted companies that are familiar with our facilities. If you wish to use a caterer that is not listed, we will work with them to collect the necessary documents so that they can be approved. CAPA will provide all alcohol and sodas on a per consumption basis. Please contact Elena at eperantoni@capa.com for an up to date caterer list and beverage pricing.
