1 CONSTRUCTION SUMMARY OF THE PEREIRA HOUSE AT MADOL, VERNA GOA. On our visit to the house of Conceicao Pereira s house we decided to make many changes that were needed to improve the living conditions of the family. I have listed them in the alphabetic order. After consulting the contractor and Conceicao, the jobs to be done are as follows:- A. One septic tank and soak pit B. One concrete platform to hold and support the water tank. C. Raising the roof by three stones:- a) Lowering of roof beams and tiles b) Fitting of beams and tiles (rooms E,F,G,H) D. Extra masonry work to lift the wall height of rooms E,F,G,H. E. 5/3 nos new plywood doors (true wood) F. 2 PVC doors for the bathroom and toilet. G. Taps 3 nos (A.R.K.) H. 1 western style commode. I. 7 Aluminium sliding windows. J. Water tank will be provided by the Pereira family. K. Lighting to be provided for the new rooms L. Bathroom/ toilet/kitchen plumbing to be done separately. M. Internal painting distemper (provisional) PAINTING: 1. Internal painting of the house will be done with Asian Paints-distemper primer 2. Doors will be painted with oil paint/wood primer (protecting them from wood termites) CHARGES FOR THE WORK AS SPECIFIED. 1. Internal painting of the house Rs. 35, Septic tank (Rocky area) Rs. 1,10, Tank platform Rs. 64, House renovation as mentioned in rooms A to H. Rs. 2,70,000. Dear Peter, The above given is the plan summary for the modification and repairing of the house of Mrs. Conceicao Pereira, resident of Old Mardol. If there is anything you do not agree, let me know as I too have some doors that are not needed. The old door can be used elsewhere in the house. We will use distemper paint that can be washed and not oil paint. All the work will be started after the monsoon and will be done in phases.
