4 Thursday continued BREAKOUT THREE Salon 5 Refugees and the right to work: Integration in a rapidly changing employment landscape Refugees leave their countries under very desperate circumstances fleeing to safer countries to start a new life. In order that refugees new lives are lived in dignity, we believe that a discussion around their right to work and how it can be facilitated is important as it affords them the opportunity to support and protect their families. Often women bear the brunt of the hardships faced by refugees. This issue has become topical with the mass migration of Syrian refugees fleeing conflict at home but is applicable to refugees all over the world. Ideas for future events can be presented at the meeting PLENARY TWO Shaping the future how women can contribute to the future of the legal profession In this final session, the panellists will discuss the main challenges for the legal professions and how these can best be tackled. Topics will include: Structure and management of law firms, legal departments, courts and authorities Effects of IT and outsourcing, adaptability and flexibility, fee structures, demands of the clients, understanding and anticipating the megatrends.
