3 SATURDAY MAY 12th GRANDS CRUS TASTING Hangar 14 - Quai des Chartrons - Bordeaux In the heart of the city of Bordeaux, overlooking the Garonne River, over a hundred owners of these top chateaux will be on hand to pour their wines which include the critically acclaimed 2009 vintage. This is your chance to gain in-depth knowledge into the professional world of wine and an opportunity to meet the owners and winemakers of these great estates. PRICES: 60, please reserve by 11th May at the door. Half-price for wine students and professionals (on presentation of a relevant ID). Ten tickets for the price of nine. Meals not included. Choose from three fascinating trips, all departing from Bordeaux : Right-bank Tour (Pomerol & Saint-Emilion), Graves-Pessac- Léognan-Sauternes Tour, Médoc Tour. List of chateaux available on OPEN DAY full day Vineyards belonging to members of the UGCB in Saint-Julien, Pauillac and Saint-Estèphe will be open to welcome you throughout the day and share a special insight into winemaking with tutored tastings. Tours are organised by appointment at set times (10.00, and 16.00) and are free of charge, subject to availability. In 2010, the Golf du Medoc was rated the third best golf course in France by the Rolex Guide and was placed among the Top 5 French golf courses by a panel of the top 50 French professionals. Tasting at this type of event (exclusively limited to visitors over 18y/o) does not actually involve drinking (swallowing) the wine. Spittoons are available and we suggest you use them systematically if you wish to taste the large number of wines. 2.
