2 Overview As part of the 2016 Nonprofit Technology Conference (16NTC), the Nonprofit Technology Network (NTEN) and friends will host a full day, pre-conference, WordPress Day in March. This is your chance to get your products and services in front of a select group of motivated, hands-on decision-makers, and to associate your company clearly with the nonprofit and WordPress communities. 3 Event Goals 16NTC WordPress Day will: Make connections amongst nonprofits using or considering WordPress, and peers and vendors that might help support them. Expose the nonprofit community to the latest tools, techniques, services, and trends in WordPress development and site management. Inspire nonprofits to explore free, low-cost, and high return-oninvestment options to improve their online communications, fundraising, and advocacy work. Target Audience This one-day event is open to all attendees of the larger three-day Nonprofit Technology Conference, and will appeal to Nonprofit IT staff and decision-makers, who either currently use, or are considering using, WordPress Current WordPress developers and power users within nonprofits Executive nonprofit staff responsible for procuring, managing, and/or maintaining websites, web applications, web communications, and IT. The first annual WordPress Day for Nonprofit Professionals was held last year at 15NTC, and it was a big hit. The event was completely sold out, and the waiting list was completely maxed. This year we ve increased the attendee limit by 50. Like last year, WordPress Day will be open to all registered attendees of 16NTC, and to all members of NTEN and the local San Jose community if it doesn t sell out before 16NTC does. 4 Format This full-day conference will be packed with useful, applicable, and helpful information with real-world applicability. The tentative schedule for 16NTC WordPress Day is as follows: 8:00am Registration & Check-in 9:00am Opening Keynote 10:00am Breakout Sessions #1 10:50am Coffee Break 11:10am Breakout Sessions #2 12 noon Lunch w/ Birds of a Feather Groups 1:00pm Breakout Sessions #3 2:00pm Breakout Sessions #4 2:50pm Coffee Break 3:10pm Breakout Sessions #5 4:00pm Closing Remarks Breakout Session Format Breakout sessions will be organized in three tracks for specific groups of attendees. 5 Birds of a Feather (BOF) Groups We will share a large ballroom with two other pre-conference groups, including Salesforce Day and Drupal Day attendees. Themes for the BOF Groups are to be determined, but may include: Blogging Site Administration Hosting Designing for mobile browsers Security CMS Newbies Attendees may also create their own groups during lunch.
