Result was declared and prizes were distributed today, to the winners and participants by the Director, ITS-Institute of Management Greater Noida. Winners were as follows: 1. Mr. Dipankar Roy (Winner) 2. Mr. Arka Biswas (1st Runner up) 3. Mr. Shobhit Srivastava (2nd Runner up) All the faculty congratulated the students on their achievements.

4 17 Apr 2014 ITS-IM Faculty attended a Training Programme Prof. Pravash Ghosh attended a workshop on Six Sigma organized by Gitarattan International Business School, Approved by AICTE and Affiliated to GGSIP University. The key resource person of the workshop was Mr. Sudeep Bhargava, consultant six Sigma, Global Adroit, Ghaziabad. The workshop was attended by various faculty members of different Business Schools of India, industry experts, academicians and students. 26 Apr 2014 ITS-IM Faculty attended a two day workshop Prof. PravashGhosh attended a Faculty Development Workshop on Research Publication Best Practices and Pitfalls at the Jaipuria Institute of Management, Noida. The two day workshop focussed on the Research Process and how to publish the research paper on international and national Journals. The key resource persons were Dr.Sushil, Chair Professor, IIT Delhi, Dr. Mukesh Chaturvedi, ex-professor, IMT, Ghaziabad, Dr. N.P.Singh, Professor and Dean-Research and Accreditation, MDI, Gurgaon and Dr. G. C.T ripathi, Deputy Director General(Academics),PMI, NTPC, Noida. Academicians, Faculty members and Research Scholars from various Business Schools and Universities of Delhi NCR region attended the workshop

5 11 Jul 2014 Analytical Analysis on Fiscal Budget Finance Club activity was conducted in the Seminar Hall on 11 th July The theme of the activity was Analytical Analysis on Fiscal Budget A presentation on the Budget was prepared by the members of Finance Club. They were as follows:- Dr. K.C. Meher(Chairperson) Rabi Kumar Shah (President) Priyanka Singh (Vice President) Ravi Sachdeva (Vice President) Manya (Member) Amrita Kumari (Member) Arghyadeep Sarkar (Member) Shobhit Srivastava (Member) The activity was attended by our honorable Director, faculty members & students of PGDM batch The presentation included all the sectors in which various reforms have been made by the finance minister Mr. Arun Jaitely. The highlights of the budget are summarized as follows:- Tax exemption of Rs for the individual that has been increased from 2lakh to 2.5lakh, increase of limit u/s 80 C from Rupees one lakh to 1.5 lakhs and interest on housing loan of selfoccupied house raised from 1.5 lakh to 2 lakhs. Increase in FDI in defense & sector from 29% to 49%. Various direct & indirect tax proposals Steps taken towards education & employment etc. Overall the budget is progressive one that will give direction to the people of India. The presentation ended with the prizes given to the presenters and vote of thanks.

7 26 Jun 2014 Anti-Drug Abuse Day Run by I.T.S students I.T.S The Education Group participated in The International Day Against Drug Abuse observed on Thursday 26 th June 2014 at India Gate Lawns. It was a collaborative venture of Narcotics, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, National Institute of Social Defence under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Directorate of Prohibition, Department of Women and Child Development, Government of NCT Delhi, Health Fitness Trust and I.T.S The Education Group with the main partner ONGC. More than 4000 enthusiastic participants including I.T.S The Education Group participated in the Mass Run Against Drug Abuse. Students & Staff of I.T.S Colleges viz I.T.S Dental College, Gr. Noida, I.T.S Dental College, Muradnagar, I.T.S Institute of Management & IT, Mohannagar, I.T.S Institute of Management, Gr. Noida participated in huge numbers enthusiastically. It was well attended by many participants from different organizations such as Pertonet LNG Ltd., NDMC, IGL, NTPC. Indian Oil, Health Fitness Society Trust. Other programmes included symbolic walk for all, Slogan March, Band display. The cultural programme attracted a lot of attention from all. The event ended with Mementoes/Award and prize distribution.

8 Paper Presentation in National Seminar Prof. Sunita Shukla presented a research paper tilled relating HRD climate to employee engagement. A challenge for HR profession and won first prize in the National Seminar on Towards a sustainable business organized by ITS, Mohannagar, Ghaziabad on 19 to 20 Sept, Ms. Anjali Nautiyal and Ms. Diya Sarkar, students of PGDM gave a presentation on Job Satisfaction: a need of an hour and won the First Prize in the National Seminar on towards a sustainable business organized by ITS, Mohannagar, Ghaziabad on Sept, Marketing Club Activity The Marketing Club of ITS-Institute of Management, Greater Noida organized an activity today at the Seminar Hall. Few Marketing students had a training of one week with Big Bazaar and gained Professional experience in the field of Marketing. Also, one quiz activity was conducted wherein teams won first, second & third prizes. The prizes & certificates for the training were distributed by Prof. (Dr.) S.P. Singh, Director, I.T.S-Institute of Management. All the faculty members & students attended the programme. 9 SPSS Workshop for SIP Dr. Rahul Chandra conducted a workshop on SPSS for SIP on 30 th Aug 14. He talked about the different Statistical Tests which are helpful in data analysis of a Project Work. The workshop was attended by all the PGDM Students of ITSIM. Dr. Rahul Chandra demonstrated how Data could be coded, aligned for SPSS analysis, application of various tests for example t-tests, chi-square tests etc. Students were very enthusiastic about this workshop and they participated in large numbers despite their preoccupation with cultural function on this day. How to face Corporate World Friday, 8 th August 2014 Guest Lecture on How to face Corporate World by Dr. Pankaj Sharma, Director Marketing, NIIT University, Gurgaon. All PGDM batch students attended the lecture and gained a lot from the session. It was interactive remains where all the doubts of students were cleaned by the Expert.

10 31 st October Annual Management Convention Delhi Management Association Annual management convention on Achieving Competitive Edge for Sustainable Development 31st October 2014 Friday, Stein Auditorium, India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi Prof. Sunita Kaul and Prof. Animesh Singh were nominated to participate from ITS IM along with 10 PGDM batch students.
