2 T he Seminar was organized by GTU in order to aware the Trustees/HOD/Senior Faculties about the Accreditation and Its process. The seminar was graced by Jeffrey Alderman President / CEO, ACBSP, USA, Dr. Rajesh Khajuria Chairman, GTU's Global MBA Program; Director, CKSVIM; Evaluator & Mentor; Hon. Secretary, ACBSP Region 10, Mr. T. Raman, Chairman, SEAA Trust, Bill Parrott, Director of strategic services of Peregrine Academic Services, USA / Australia and Dr. Akshai Aggarwal, Honourable Vice Chancellor of Gujarat Technological University (GTU). The Seminar was initiated by the first and only internationally accredited business school offering MBA programs in the Gujarat state, C K Shah Vijapurwala Institute of Management (CKSVIM) Vadodara which is affiliated to GTU. CKSVIM MBA Program is accredited by ACBSP in The leadership from internationally acclaimed Peregrine Academic Services and Leadership organization based in Wyoming, USA, as well as the first and only international accreditation advocacy and facilitation initiative in the non-government sector, Standards for Educational Advancement & Accreditation (SEAA) Trust, New Delhi made a land mark presentation on how international accreditation raises the bar on quality by benchmarking the best practices from campuses around the world. All the dignitaries were felicitated by Shree J.C.Lilani, Mr. Keyur Darji, Dr. Ajit Sigh Rana and Ms. Hema Rajput by offering a bouquet and memento. Ms. Krutika Raval acted as a master of ceremony for the event. Shri. J. C. Lilani, Registrar of Gujarat Technological University welcomed all the participants on the behalf of GTU, He briefed about the activities undertaken at GTU and its PG Research Centre. He said that Shri. Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India have initiated Stand up India, Start-up India but GTU initiated the start-up activities way back and for this GTU has won an award for start-up activities. He avers that being Trustees/HoDs one should understand the process of Accreditation etc. Dr. Akshai Aggarwal, Hon. Vice Chancellor, Gujarat Technological University also informed about the academic activities being undertaken by GTU. He talked about the Global MBA program of GTU and workshop/seminar & Research Activities held at GTU. He shared his academic experience, told about the importance of Accreditation, how Accreditation Process will help each institutes. He stressed upon the quality of education provided to the students at each institute which will ultimately the goal of the university system.

Secretary, ACBSP Region 10, thanked all the participants for remaining present at GTU for the seminar and understanding the importance of Global Accreditation. He briefed all participants about how he got his institute accredited globally and provided insights into the accreditation experience at CKSVIM. He shared that CKSVIM received Accreditation Award by ACBSP in Philadelphia, USA in June He further described the benefits of getting business programs accredited and how international accreditation raises the bar on quality by benchmarking the best practices from campuses around the world. Mr. Jeffrey Alderman, President / CEO of ACBSP based in Kansas City, USA presented his thoughts about Sustainability of Modern Business Schools in India, starting with introduction of ACBSP. He shared about ACBSP and its accreditation process. He threw light on ACBSP's mission which is to promote continuous improvement and recognize excellence in the accreditation of business education programs around the world and ACBSP's vision: Every quality business program worldwide is accredited. He further shared about ACBSP Member Demographics, list of ACBSP Accredited Schools in India and ACBSP Schools in Candidacy in India, ACBSP support for Teaching Excellence, Major Milestones Achieved, Member benefits and Global Outreach by ACBSP, Characteristics of Self Study, Process and Cost of Accreditation. He also invited GTU and its member colleges to the Annual Conference Creating New Knowledge in Classroom at Atlanta, Georgea, USA on 16 20, June He explained why ACBSP Accreditation is best fit for Top Indian Schools aspiring to go Global. ACBSP also seeks partnership and collaborative opportunities with AICTE, NBA and NAAC and even GTU. Mr. Jeffrey, in a separate meeting with Dr. Akshai Aggarwal, Hon. Vice Chancellor; Dr. Rajesh Khajuria; Dr. Chinnam Reddy; Dr. Rana and others, discussed to come up with a proposal in 30 days to engage GTU with a cluster of Five Top MBA Colleges to apply for Global Accreditation. Mr. Bill Parrott, Director of Strategic Services of Peregrine Academic Services, USA / Australia gave presentation on Your Thought-Partners in Higher Education. He gave an overview about Peregrine Academic Services which offers online tests in 45 countries across the globe and its activities. Bill added that Peregrine Academic Services is approved testing agency for independent assessment of students as required for Global Accreditation by ACBSP, USA.

He briefed all participants about how he got his institute accredited globally and provided insights into the accreditation experience at CKSVIM.

4 Dr. Rajesh Khajuria added that CKSVIM administers peregrine test since last two years and the surprising fact is that our MBA students performed well in online test as compared to their semester exams. He further said that almost entire syllabus of 1 st year MBA and compulsory courses in 2 nd year MBA are covered in Peregrine Online Test. Dr. Khajuria also said that entire 1 st year exam should be taken online with the help of Peregrine Academic Services, USA, an independent testing agency. The benefits are: a) GTU MBA students' performance in the peregrine test shall be compared with not only GTU MBA colleges but also worldwide in about 45 countries. b) GTU exams result is expected to improve substantially from about 35% - 40% at present to 70% - 80% due to transparency and instant declaration of result on completion of the test. At the end, Dr. Khajuria said that the purpose of inviting T. Raman who represents Peregrine in India and Bill Parrott are cited above. Mr. T. Raman, Chairman, SEAA Trust clarified the questions from participants about utility of Peregrine Testing Services. Mr. Mitesh Dadhania, Deputy Director, GTU and Mrs. Krutika Ravel thanked all the speakers, Participants, and team of CKSVIM on behalf of GTU.
