Given the RDR, the need to raise your online profile, stand out from your competitors and generate targeted leads has never been more important. But generating leads for our Independent Financial Advisors is not enough. The banks have withdrawn from offering independent advice to customers, which means people will look elsewhere but where? 7 Your membership options What are your options? Each lead costs a fixed price of just (excluding VAT). A flexible membership With multiple subscription options and control over your lead supply, Financial Advisor Network membership gives you complete control over your marketing spend. Want to target leads further afield? Your membership will provide targeted leads and a directory listing from one postcode region. You can target further postcode regions by simply paying an additional 10 each month. How much does it cost to join? It depends how long you would like to subscribe for. Memberships can be taken over one, three, six, or 12 months, and start from as little as 39 per month. The longer your membership, the more cost-effective it is over the longer term. 8 Our terms Payment Membership All membership subscriptions require the first month s payment upfront, which can be paid by BACS, cheque, or over the phone by credit or debit card. For three, six or 12-month membership subscriptions, the subsequent payments are taken by direct debit. You ll receive a 10% discount if you pay your membership subscription upfront, in full*. Leads You will need to pay for leads every 14 days (for each postcode area), which are strictly payable on invoice. You will be invoiced twice each month for leads received within that 14-day period. All payments must be made by BACS, cheque, or over the phone by credit or debit card. You will find detailed payment instructions on the invoice. If payment is not received within 48 hours of the invoice date, or your membership direct debit is not paid, the delivery of your leads will stop and your Financial Advisor Network profile, ratings and directory listing will be removed until payment has been received. Code of conduct Providing an elite, professional service at all times The Financial Advisor Network aims to provide consumers with the very best financial advisors, which is why only specifically qualified independent financial advisors can join. We want to reassure consumers that this is a brand they can trust and rely upon and that all advisors associated with the brand are qualified, which means we check advisors areas of specialisation and that they comply with our code of conduct. As a member, you must agree to: 1. Treat all clients equally and fairly, regardless of their situation, financial position or the advice they require. 2. Endeavour to contact the consumer the same day of receiving the enquiry, or at the latest, the following business day. 3. An initial FREE initial telephone consultation, without obligation. 4. Always be friendly, courteous and professional. 5. Offer the highest level of expertise, advice and service. 6. Act with professionalism, competence, care and diligence. 7. Make every effort to ensure the client understands any financial plan, prior to completion, and the associated costs. 8. Inform the Financial Advisor Network of any change in circumstances that may affect your membership or status as an Independent Financial Adviser. 9. Provide an annual electronic copy of your Statement of Professional Standing and any associated examination certificates relevant to the areas of advice indicated on the Financial Advisor Network website. 10. Ensure that all material collateral used by the Financial Advisor Network meets any regulatory requirements of your business. 8

9 Rejection policy We are committed to treating all our partners fairly and equally. By clearly setting out our lead Rejection Policy, we strive to ensure that you are clear about what we will and won t accept as a rejection. A rejection will be accepted for the following: INVALID NUMBERS The telephone number is not recognised, or the number does not accept incoming calls. This must apply to all numbers provided on the lead form. A FRAUDULENT APPLICATION The person named on the lead confirms to the Financial Advisor Network that they did not submit their details. A HOAX APPLICATION A lead contains a false name e.g. Micky Mouse. DUPLICATE LEADS A lead supplied by the Financial Advisor Network more than once within three (3) months of the original lead date. CONTACT NOT KNOWN A lead where the Financial Advisor Network can confirm that the person named on the lead is not known on the contact numbers provided. AN APPLICATION FROM A MINOR The person named on the lead is under the age of 18. AN APPLICATION FROM A NON-UK TAX PAYER This is anyone who resides outside the UK that you cannot do business with, or does not pay UK tax. What will happen next? A rejection will not be accepted for the following: NO CONTACT If the person named on the lead will not answer your call, or you are diverted to a voic , or standard answering machine message. ADVICE NOT NEEDED If the person named on the lead no longer requires advice. NO PHONE CALL If the person named on the lead would like to initially be contacted by . CHANGE OF HEART If the person named on the lead no longer requires advice and/or states that they were not aware they would receive a call. ADVICE FOUND If the person named on the lead has sourced advice elsewhere and/or is already engaged with another professional/ company. NO CONVERSION If the lead does not convert to business. CONTACT MADE If the Financial Advisor Network (Oportura) confirms that you have engaged with the customer. RELEVANT ADVICE If the person named on the lead requests any area of advice stated on the relevant consumer website. If your reason for rejecting the lead notification is accepted as valid, the following will happen: 1. In the first instance, the rejected lead will be replaced by the next available lead. 2. If you have already paid for the original lead via a previous invoice your account will receive a credit refund, which will be applied to your next invoice. 9

10 Become a member How do I apply? It s easy. All you have to do is contact one of our Financial Advisor Network account managers on and we will send out an application pack. All you need to do then is simply: 1. Complete, sign and return your membership and lead supply agreement 2. Together with the documentation to support your application 3. Make your first membership subscription payment 4. Start receiving leads and building your Financial Advisor Network online profile. Your application pack will contain: The membership and lead supply agreement Documents (such as qualification certificates) to support your application Our full terms and conditions Our full rejection policy The full Financial Advisor Network code of conduct Your Financial Advisor Network online profile requirements.
