GET INVOLVED! On Sunday, November 16th Beth-El nursing students and instructors supported the men and women that have served our country, by volunteering in the First-Aid tent. The National Veteran s Day 5k was held at Memorial Park. By the time the race had started the temperature had dropped in to the 20s, needless to say volunteers were cold. We drank hot chocolate, compliments of the BSNA, and cheered on the racers, no triage was needed. Thank you to all you volunteers who came out From L to R.Instructors Deb Beatty and Deborah Pina-Thomas, Students Melissa Fundling, Courtney James, - racer waving the and braved the cold to support our American flag - Rebekah Dunlap, Jaclyn Fuhrman, Katie Pina Veteran s. Thank you to all those who volunteered to come to Mountain Lion Exchange on Friday, November 14th. A lot of future Beth-El students came to tour the school. We gave them a tour of the classrooms, SIM Lab, Upper Lab, Lower Lab, shared stories from our college experience and answered a lot of their questions. The future students and their parents learned a lot and will hopefully be joining us at Beth-El soon. From L to R Top Row: Dianna Kempton, Susan Davis, Christa Damron, Emilia Cintora - Middle Row: Courtney James, Carly Marsh - Bottom Row: Johnny Hawks, Katie Davidson, Lauren Kirk, Aaron Dial Print to PDF without this message by purchasing novapdf (http://www.novapdf.com/) On November 11, 2014 BSNA students were able to meet with Junior and Senior students at Doherty High School. These students had the opportunity to ask BSNA members about the nursing program and what it takes to be accepted and succeed in the program. The students were also given the opportunity to handle some of the equipment that nurses use in their practice. One of the most exciting parts of this visit was the chance BSNA members had to share their favorite parts of nursing school and their most memorable experiences in clinical situations! We hope to have many more experiences like this one and hope that each of you will take the opportunity to join us in motivating future nursing students!
