Students guilty f academic miscnduct, either directly r indirectly, thrugh participatin r assistance, are immediately respnsible t the instructr f the class. Based n their prfessinal judgment, instructrs have the authrity t impse the fllwing academic sanctins: (a) require the student t repeat the assignment fr full r partial credit; (b) assign a zer, an F, r any ther grade apprpriate fr the assignment r examinatin; (c) assign an F fr the curse. Classrm Miscnduct Plicy: The instructr has the primary respnsibility fr maintenance f academic integrity and cntrlling classrm behavir, and can rder temprary remval r exclusin frm the classrm f any student engaged in disruptive cnduct r cnduct that vilates the general rules and regulatins f the institutin fr each class sessin during which the cnduct ccurs. Extended r permanent exclusin frm the classrm, beynd the sessin in which the cnduct ccurred, r further disciplinary actin can be effected nly thrugh apprpriate prcedures f the institutin. Disruptive behavir in the classrm may be defined as, but nt limited t, behavir that bstructs r disrupts the learning envirnment (e.g., ffensive language, harassment f students and prfessrs, repeated utbursts frm a student which disrupt the flw f instructin r prevent cncentratin n the subject taught, failure t cperate in maintaining classrm decrum, etc.), text messaging, and the cntinued use f any electrnic r ther nise r light emitting device which disturbs thers (e.g., disturbing nises frm beepers, cell phnes, palm pilts, lap-tp cmputers, games, etc.). Emergency Prcedures Plicy: In case f a medical emergency we will immediately dial 9-911 and reprt the nature f the medical emergency t emergency respnse persnnel. We will try t stay with the persn(s) in need and maintain a calm atmsphere. We will talk t the persn as much as pssible until respnse persnnel arrive n campus, and we will have smene g utside t meet emergency persnnel and direct them t the apprpriate lcatin In the event f an emergency (drill r actual), a signal will be sent. Based n that signal, students will fllw the prcedures belw fr that specific type f emergency: Lud warbling sund thrughut Building (FIRE) Cllect purses and cats and prceed immediately ut f yur rm and exit thrugh the clsest emergency exit. Prceed t the Designated Assembly Area clsing windws and drs as yu exit. Remain there until the "All Clear" Signal is given by an Emergency Management Team member.
