MBS BOARD OF DIRECTORS In accrdance with the current terms f its Cnstitutin, the MBS Bard shall cmprise the fllwing members: three directrs (appinted by the University f Melburne) Ten directrs (elected by the Dnr Members f MBS) The Vice chancellr f the University f Melburne the Dean f the MBS (appinted by the MBS Bard) the President f The Melburne University Business Schl Assciatin (r its successr) ne academic staff member (elected by and frm the academic staff) The Chairman, wh is selected by the ten Dnr Member directrs f the Bard, is the fficial spkespersn fr the Bard, unless the Bard determines therwise. In the absence f a Chair, anther directr may chair all r part f a meeting. Maximum tenure f a directr is 10 years upn which he r she must retire. Purpse The Bard is ultimately respnsible fr the versight and review f the strategy, peratins, administratin f and verall gvernance f MBS. The Bard s key bjectives include: verseeing develpment f, and reviewing and apprving, the strategic directin f MBS; establishing gals fr MBS and mnitring the achievement f thse gals; appinting, reviewing and apprving the terms f remuneratin f the Dean; having regard t the interests f MBS members (being the University and the Dnrs)practively lead MBS by identifying value that can be achieved fr the benefit f students and Alumni; and t fster excellence in teaching, learning and research at MBS; Enhancing the reputatin f the Schl 13
