These can be given to our medical table during check-in the morning you arrive for camp. Our student ministry cannot promise to provide all necessary medical equipment or medications needed for each possible injury and/or sickness. Traveling Guidelines/ Camp Rules - 1. While on the road, we are representing Christ. Let all we do reflect Jesus. 2. Respect every leader on our team. They are here for you so make sure and let them know we appreciate them taking time off work to go to Camp. 3. No PDA keep your hands to yourself and off your boyfriend or girlfriend. 4. No MP3 players, ipods, CD Players, or video games of any kind. Cell phones allowed only at the parent s discretion and will only allowed to be used during Free Time (to contact family ONLY!). If any of these items are found or being used during a service or session, they will be taken and returned to your parents upon arrival back at church on Friday. *Parents if these cell phones are taken and you call, we will do our best to answer your call and inform you that the cell phone has been taken away from your student, however we can not promise to do so, due to our busy schedule. Please talk with your student ahead of time and stress the importance for them not to use their cell phone when they are not allowed. 5. Follow the dress code at all times. 6. No drugs, pornography, alcohol, or weapons allowed at camp. 7. No guys in girls rooms or girls in guys rooms. There will be two separate hallways, separating the males and females. No student of the opposite sex is to be on the wrong hallway at ANY point. 8. You are expected to attend all meetings and events scheduled no exception! You must follow the schedule at all times and be where you are supposed to be at all times. 9. Your camp bracelet is your meal ticket so DON T LOSE IT! Without it, you will not be allowed into the dining hall or to meeting functions. In addition, you need to wear your bracelet to all morning and evening sessions. (Don t take it off!) Students will be provided with a key card to their assigned rooms upon arrival at Daytona Beach Resort, and will be asked to return the key before boarding the busses on the final day of camp. 10. No Pranks! If you are found to have participated in any prank, your parents will immediately be contacted and you will be asked to leave. It s not worth it Don t prank! 11. You are personally responsible for all damages to any facilities or equipment, including guest rooms. If damage occurs, disciplinary action will be taken (as needed), and parents will be billed immediately. 12. Always remain in groups of at least THREE or more. Helping your student prepare for the week: It is important to understand your role while your student prepares to travel with us. You can be a great influence in helping your student have the best experience possible! We ask that you pray with your student daily in these weeks leading up to camp. Ask God to move in your student s life, and pray that the heart of your student would be tender to the things that God plans to teach them. We have developed a prayer guide for you, and ask that you would use it in the weeks leading up to camp, and especially while we are away. Have the attitude: No News is Good News. It is difficult for a student to focus on what God is doing in their life if they are constantly connected to their phone and calling home. If you feel like you need to have your student contact you, please keep it to a minimum. If an emergency situation arises, you will be contacted immediately with details. As we are traveling you can see updates on our blog. Always check your student s luggage. You should be aware of the materials that they are bringing. Help your student understand the goal. As you are planning to send them off, talk with them about the purpose of the trip. Help them see different ways to prepare their hearts for what is ahead. Instruct you student to have Christ-like behavior. It is never our desire to have to send a student home prematurely. However, if there is distraction to the other students attending, then sending a student home is the course of action we must take. Please go through the guidelines with your student so that they will be prepared. PRAY FOR THEM WHILE THEY RE AWAY! We ask you to spend time in family prayer throughout the duration of the trip. Beware the 3 D s Students demonstrating Distracting Destructive Dangerous behaviors may be sent home.
