SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 9th - DARTMOUTH FOOTBALL VERSUS CORNELL [With apologies to William Shakespeare and Sherlock Holmes] The game is afoot (ball) NBC Sports Network will broadcast the Dartmouth v. Cornell football game from Memorial Field on Saturday November 9th beginning at 4:00 p.m. Over the past several years many Ivy League games have been nationally broadcast on the NBC sports network and we ve been fortunate to view these contests with other area Ivy alumni clubs. They ve been fun, if not feisty, affairs. This year we will be joining the Cornell Alumni Club at Shula s 2 Steakhouse, 6200 Quarry Lane in Independence to watch our GREEN and RED do battle. Contact Matt Raskind 11 (matt.raskind@gmail.com) or Amrita Sankar 12 (amritasankar90@gmail.com) to reserve your seat. We have two students participating in the game. Iman Abdoulkarim 17 is on the cheer squad and Jake Young 16 (DE #97) is a member of the football team.

AND speaking of Dartmouth Athletics Maggie Scanlon 14 was named Athlete of the week early in October for scoring two game winning goals for the field hockey team. She went on to score goals in six straight games. She ranks second on the team in both goals (7) and points (15) this fall. SATURDAY, DECEMBER 7th - ANNUAL HOLIDAY BRUNCH The Nelson A. Rockefeller Center for Public Policy and the Social Sciences Executive Director, Andrew Samwick will speak on Rocky s mission and its opportunities for our Dartmouth students. The Rockefeller Center seeks to educate, train, and inspire the next generation of public policy leaders in all fields of endeavor through multidisciplinary education, public lectures by visiting scholars and dignitaries, skills training, and public policy- oriented research across the social sciences. The Center seeks to connect experiences in and out of the classroom, on and off campus to reach this goal. One of its initiatives is the First Year Fellows Program which pairs about two dozen Dartmouth students who have excelled at the Center s introductory public policy course with Dartmouth alumni mentors in the public and non- profit sectors in the summer after their first years. Our Maureen Mentrek 16 was a Fellow in Washington D.C. and will talk about her experience as a Rockefeller Fellow.

We also recognize our Alum of the Year at this event. In addition, our current students are on break and always show up en masse. And maybe, we ll have some 18 s who has been accepted early decision. Please join us for this very exciting program. Location: Acacia Reservation Clubhouse, Metroparks 26899 Cedar Road, Lyndhurst Time: 11:00 a.m. 1:00 p.m. Price: $25 RSVP: Amrita Sankar 12 [amritasankar90@gmail.com] WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 15 th The DCNEO Women Present: Women and Wealth Management by Heather Ettinger 78 Heather Ettinger 78 is a managing partner at Fairport Asset Management. Heather has been named one of the top 50 distinguished women in wealth management. She dedicates her professional practice and community involvement to advancing the interests of women and girls. Her Solutions for Women seminars aim to enlighten women on investing, financial planning, and socially responsible philanthropic giving. Heather is widely recognized for her unique expertise, experience, and dedication to helping other women build their financial acumen and wealth; both in her professional practice and community involvement. Most recently, she co- authored a study of over 550 women in 44 states entitled Women of Wealth: Why Does the Financial Services Industry Still Not Hear Them? Heather s presentation will be audience specific on how to approach investing, financial planning, and strategic wealth management. She will also be a resource to those who have questions and concerns, and can recommend further resources to your needs. The talk will be open to the Ivy 15 network and will be followed by a mixer to meet Dartmouth and Ivy affiliated women in the area, inclusive of hot and cold appetizers and a cash bar. FEBRUARY DARTMOUTH ON LOCATION (DOL) Plans are in process for the DCNEO to host a Dartmouth on Location event in February. We are tentatively scheduled to have a Dartmouth Music Professor speak on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame s Rolling Stones: 50 Years of Satisfaction exhibit. There will be a lunch at The House of Blues followed by a tour of the Rock Hall and exhibit. We will keep you informed as the schedule develops. Look forward to seeing you all at a next event! (And, of course ) Our annual print newsletter will be published, shortly. It will recap some of this year s highlights and one particular significant bit of scholarship news. It will also contain a DCNEO dues notice. Thanks to your generous and continuing support we re able to host current students and potential future students and their families at events and receptions.
