Waived fee for online application The Enhanced Foundational Program (EFP) International students for whom English is not their first language are typically great candidates for Pine Manor College s Enhanced Foundational Program, or EFP. EFP is a bachelor s degree granting program for non-native English speaking students. EFP students receive additional help and support in reading, writing, and critical thinking. To apply for EFP, you must submit an application for general admission to the college, which includes submitting SAT and/or TOEFL scores. After an initial review, a member of our admission staff will contact you regarding your fit with the EFP program. Kennedy School of Government and the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) at Harvard University are seeking to hire a Postdoctoral Fellow with expertise in Science, Technology and Society (STS). The oneyear position will carry a teaching load of one undergraduate course in Technology and Society; the successful candidate will also assist in STS Program activities and build links between STS and SEAS. Renewal for a second year may be possible contingent on satisfactory performance. Candidates should be qualified to carry out research on the social implications of one or more aspects of engineering or applied sciences, such as information and communication technologies, biotechnology, or nanotechnology. Areas of specialization might include studies of innovation; risk and regulation; intellectual property; new research partnerships and research governance; or ethical issues in technological R&D. Research experience on comparative, international and global issues is especially welcome. Interdisciplinary teaching experiences are highly desirable. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in an appropriate field, including science and technology studies, sociology, law, political science, economics, or engineering. News You Can Use UPCOMING ACT REGISTRATION DEADLINE NOVEMBER 5TH Students planning to take the ACT university entrance exam on December 11th for admission into a 4-year college or university in the USA need to register by the November 5th registration deadline. The ACT is one of the entrance exams typically required by U.S. colleges and universities for entry into their undergraduate programs. To register to take the ACT, students should go to create their free ACT web account, and follow the simple instructions to select a test date and test location. ENTER THE THINK BEYOND BORDERS VIDEO CONTEST AND WIN A U.S. SCHOLARSHIP DEADLINE EXTENDED UNTIL NOVEMBER 1ST Destination California and the AACC International are giving you the chance to win more than $9,000 in scholarships.
