WFT Server Mode Infrastructure Network Setup Overview This section will describe how to set up a WFT Server Mode/Infrastructure network on an Apple ios device such as an ipad or iphone. WFT Server Mode allows you to wirelessly control your camera through a standard web browser. The browser also provides Live View functionality and the ability to wirelessly transfer images from the camera to a remote computer. This setup requires a wireless network router to serve as the access point. It assumes that your router has been set up for DHCP with WEP security enabled. You will therefore need the 10 digit WEP key or other password to connect to the router. ios Device Setup 1 From the Home Screen, select the Settings icon. 2 Select WiFi. 3Select the network ID that is being distributed by your router. A lock icon indicates that the network is secured and will require some form of login for access. 2

WFT Setup 4Turn on the camera with the WFT unit attached. (The WFT requires its own battery.) Press the MENU button on the camera, then Navigate to the Tool menu that lists WFT settings. Select [WFT settings]. 5Under WFT Settings, select [Connection wizard]. 6Under Select communication method, select [WFTserver], then select [OK]. 7Under LAN type, select [Wireless]. then select [OK]. 3

8Under Wireless LAN setup method, select [Connect with wizard], then select [OK]. 9Under Select wireless network, select the wireless network ID that is being distributed by your router. This must be the same one you selected in Step 3. Select [OK]. 10Under Key format, select one of the two options. The option you choose must match the maximum number of digits available or necessary for your router s wireless network login ID (WEP key). Select [OK]. 11Under Enter 8-63 ASCII characters, enter the wireless login ID/WEP key you need to access the wireless network. Press the Menu button on the camera to select [OK]. 4

12It may take a few seconds for the WFT to connect to wireless network. When it does, you will see this screen. Select [Auto setting], then select [OK]. 13Under Select set number, assign a number from 1-5 so your settings can be saved and retrieved for future use. Select [OK]. 14Return to the first Tool menu. Select [WFT Settings]. 15Under WFT settings, select [Set up]. 5

16Under Set up, select [Confirm settings]. 17Under Confirm settings, scroll to settings screen 2 on the camera. WFT Server Mode Apple ios Ad Hoc Network Setup Overview This guide describes how to set up a WFT Server Mode/Ad Hoc network on an Apple ios device such as an ipad or iphone. An ad hoc network creates a two-way link between the WFT and your ios device. Server Mode allows you to wirelessly control your camera through a standard web browser. It also provides Live View functionality and the ability to wirelessly transfer images from the camera to a Initial WFT Setup remote computer. Although his setup allows you to assign a network login name and password it is otherwise unsecured. Before making any changes, please take note of your original settings so that you can restore them later if you wish. Our illustrations will show ipad screens for size and clarity, however all ios screens are similar. 1Turn on the camera with the WFT unit attached. (The WFT requires its own battery.) Press the MENU button on the camera, then Navigate to the Tool menu that lists WFT settings.
