WHAT IS CIY MOVE? The High School Ministry attends the CIY MOVE Conference every year. This week is the biggest event we do all year for Eastview s students currently in 8-12 th grade, and the whole week is designed to amplify the call of Christ on students lives to become Kingdom Workers. The week will include high-energy live worship services, some of the nation s best speakers, recreation time, food, fun, small groups, and more (you can check out this year s theme at ciy.com/move). God s Word will be clearly communicated through artists, musicians, videos and other various means. Everything is designed to help students worship, encounter, and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. WHAT IS A KINGDOM WORKER? We believe that God has called every single person to use their gifts, abilities, and sphere of influence to advance His Kingdom. God is using high school students to change the world! MOVE is all about equipping and unleashing students to be effective in what God is calling them to be and do when they get home. WHERE IS CIY MOVE? This event takes place on the campus of Hope College in Holland, Michigan. There will also be a Family Service when we return to Eastview the following Sunday for all families of students on the trip. WHEN IS CIY MOVE? June 19 - June 24 (leave in the late morning on the 19 th and return in the late morning on the 24 th ) Check in at church at 10:00am on Monday, June 19 th. We will arrive back at Eastview around 11:30am on June 24 th.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? HOW DO I SIGN UP? Online registration is @ eastview.church/move Registration closes: April 18, 2017 Cost: $460 (scholarships available), $50 deposit required to register WHAT ARE NEXT STEPS AFTER MOVE? Baptism: When we get back, we will do the baptisms that Sunday the 25 th. We will also hold a baptism class in Holland, MI for all students interested. We encourage you to bring your friends, family, or whomever you d like to join us in celebrating those students who have taken the Next Step in making that decision for Christ! Small Groups & Serving: Every student will get a link via text on the last day of MOVE to sign up for the following year to be in a small group and serve. This journey of following Jesus is a personal one, but never a private one. We were all created to do life with each other in community! Eastview also believes that serving in our church every week is one of the most effective ways to live out your faith and increase your involvement. We will be sharing more about serving in the weeks following up MOVE.

MOVE CIY MOVE FAQ S: CIY MOVE 2017 Is there a way to follow the week and get updates of what s happening at MOVE? Yes! To be added to our texting list, text "EASTVIEWHSM" to 40650. You can also follow our Eastview High School Ministry Facebook page and Instagram feed for pictures and updates throughout the week. You can also download the MOVE app to see official schedules and updates of the actual event provided by CIY. What if my kid has to take medication? Students are responsible for their own medication. If there is no way that your student can be responsible for their own medication and needs assistance administering, please email mroberts@eastview.church with the details. What do sleeping arrangements look like? We are staying in the dorms at Hope College Holland, Michigan. There will be one dorm for boys and one dorm for girls. What kind of supervision will there be? The leaders will be divided evenly among the busses while we travel. At the conference, your student will be in a small group with an adult leader. The leader will watch after their group the entire week. Staff and leaders stay in the dorms with the students. How much money should I send with my student? Usually students bring about $50 for coffee/snacks/eating out at free time/gifts when they are there in Holland.

What type of transportation do you use? We will be taking charter busses with bathrooms on board. How do you determine room assignments? Room assignments will be determined by small group. Your student will room with someone in their assigned small group. All rooms for a small group will be located next to each other. How will I receive communication once my student is registered? You will receive a confirmation e-mail once your student has successfully registered for the trip. Any further communication including additional announcements or information will come through e-mail. Can my student bring a friend who doesn t go Eastview? Absolutely! CIY Move is a GREAT event to bring a friend. Example Schedule: Breakfast Conference Small Group Lunch Conference Free Time Dinner Conference
