4 SHARING YOUR TIME, TALENT, AND TREASURE Dear Encounter Family, We at Encounter Church believe it takes a body of believers to look like the Bride of Christ. We believe that it takes each one of us functioning in our spiritual gifts along with our talents to make up a church body. Therefore, we want to build our body of believers and plug people into using their spiritual gifts and talents. Prayerfully consider where you feel God is calling you to serve. Check the appropriate box(es) on the Sharing Your Time, Talent, and Treasure page and complete the required contact information. We want you to know that we honor each person that is a part of Encounter Church, and we believe each one of you has a special part to play in building the body. Pastor Blake and Beverly Lorenz MINISTRY RESOURCES Positions in this category do not apply to a particular ministry within the church. Rather they are resources available to all ministries on an as-needed basis. DATA ENTRY This position involves various data entry in various computer programs such Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Constant Contact (contact database). EDITING, PROOFREADING, AND WRITING This position involves assistance with writing, editing and proofreading various ministry materials such as Bible studies, workbooks, etc. This requires proficiency in grammar, word usage, spelling, and punctuation. POWERPOINT This position involves assisting pastors and ministry leaders with assembling Powerpoint presentations for sermons and presentation. This requires prior experience with Microsoft Powerpoint and/or Apple Keynote. NOTARY This position involves offering notary public services to the various ministries if the need arises.

5 SUNDAY SERVICES ALTAR COUNSELOR This position is Recommended through the pastors or the leadership. All altar ministers must be approved by the pastors and complete the training classes. We ask for recommendations of those who would be prayer warriors in this confidential ministry. Training classes will be held teaching scripture and spiritual warfare. Altar ministers faithfully pray for the pastors, the body, and those individuals that come to the altar for salvation, healing, and deliverance. USHER This position involves greeting attendees, handing out bulletins, and collecting the offering. Ushers also watch out for special needs of the congregation during the service such as giving directions to the restrooms. GREETER This position involves arriving to church 15 minutes prior to pre-worship to greet attendees and open doors. SAFETY TEAM This position involves helping to create a distraction-free environment. Volunteers will assist attendees and staff, supervise the childrenʼs area, and watch out for the overall safety and security of the gathering. This team will also be requested to assist with special events on an as-needed basis. SETUP/STRIKE This position involves arriving early to church to help setup the chairs, sound and projection equipment, ventilation equipment and childrenʼs areas. This team is also need to stay after church to help tear everything down and put it away.

6 CREATIVE ARTS WORSHIP TEAM (VOCALISTS/MUSICIANS) This position involves singing and/or playing an instrument during corporate worship and special events. Please list prior experience and instruments/vocal part. DRAMA This position involves acting, writing scripts, making costumes and/or design sets for a developing drama ministry. DANCE This position involves dancing (including flags and banners) and choreography for a developing dance ministry. ART/PHOTOGRAPHY This position is for painters, sculptors, photographers and other artists to produce various pieces and participate in activities on an as-needed basis. TECHNICAL TEAM This position involves providing excellent technical support to aid in drawing others into worship and Biblical teaching. This includes sound, lighting, projection, service production and staging. Please list any prior experience. WEB DESIGN This position involves the design and maintenance of the Encounter websites. List any prior experience if applicable. GRAPHIC DESIGN This position involves the design and production of print and web materials as requested by the ministry leaders and staff. List any prior experience if applicable.

7 INFANTS/TODDLERS NURSERY VOLUNTEER This position requires someone who has a heart to serve the Lord. When we serve the smaller saints, we are living out the Beatitudes. You will be responsible for creating a loving and warm environment where the children learn how to praise God and encounter the Lord through your acts of love and compassion. This position requires offering a snack and juice and changing diapers. PRESCHOOL SUNDAY SCHOOL VOLUNTEER This position requires someone who has a heart to serve the Lord. In assisting the children's pastor, volunteers will assist with snack and juice, assist with object lessons, praising the Lord during times of worship, and praying and interceding as the Lord leads for the children to encounter Him. CHILDRENʼS CHURCH SUNDAY SCHOOL VOLUNTEER This position requires someone who has a heart to serve the Lord. In assisting the children's pastor, assist with object lessons, praising the Lord during times of worship, and praying and interceding as the Lord leads for the children to encounter Him. SPECIAL EVENTS VOLUNTEER This on-call position is for someone who has a heart to serve the Lord and wants to have fun with children. This position requires overseeing fun activities for children of all ages, mostly toddlers through elementary. The commitment time varies based on the event.

8 YOUTH SPECIAL EVENT HOST HOMES This position involves hosting special youth events at your home. PRAYER TEAM This position involves praying as a team for the youth. Special requests for attendance to youth events might arise. OUTREACH VOLUNTEERS This position involves assisting with the planning, preparation, transportation and cleanup of special outreach events. YOUNG ADULTS GROUP HOST This position involves hosting a small group at your home. SNACK/MEAL PROVIDER This position involves providing snacks and meals for the young adults meetings. PRAYER MINISTRY FOLLOW-UP PHONE CALLING This position involves making follow-up phone calls to those on the prayer list. PRAYER CHAIN This position involves participating in a prayer chain through phone calls, s, and social networks. PRAYER VIGIL This position involves praying during a prayer slot in the 24/7 prayer vigil. See thewatchorlando.com for more information.

ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT This position involves assisting with making copies, data entry, and materials assembly. 10 PASTORAL CARE DRIVER This position involves driving for special occasions and/or to pick up those in need of transportation to and from church. List special driverʼs license class if applicable. FOOD/RECEPTION This on-call position involves preparing food or meals for families in need due to a death in the family, a new baby, illness, loss of job, etc. HOME BOUND CARE This position involves providing help for families in crisis due to illness or hospitalization in the form of providing meals, transportation, temporary respite care, or child or pet care. HOSPITAL VISITATION This position involves visiting with those and the families of those who are hospitalized for prayer, comfort, and support. MECHANIC This position involves assisting other members of the church with their basic vehicular needs such as changing a tire or replacing a headlight. HANDYMAN This position involves assisting other members of the church with their basic home needs such as minor plumbing repairs or garbage removal. CONNECTIONS CONNECTING WITH VISITORS This position involves making phone calls and sending s to church visitors in an attempt to connect them with the church. CONNECTING WITH REGULAR ATTENDEES This position involves making phone calls and sending s to regular church attendees in an attempt to bring complete unity to the church body.
