Square Section Autocaves 125-3000+ Litres With chamber sizes ranging from 125 itres to 3000 itres, and with many options avaiabe, the standard configurations wi satisfy the majority of eventuaities. However, if your requirement is for a chamber of non-standard dimensions (e.g. to accept a particuar oad), we are happy to accommodate you. Our Square Section units can be manufactured for connection to an in-house steam suppy, or can be fitted with an integra steam generator. For arger units with high voume steam requirements, we can offer our stand-aone steam generator, which we manufacture in 3 sizes (with power requirements of 48kW, 72kW or 96kW). The new Logi contro system Automatic Sideways Cosing The New Logi contro systems are an advance in steriization contro technoogy, bringing together years of unrivaed experience, to produce a user friendy, fuy automatic contro system, to meet and exceed the expectations of the most demanding aboratories and centres of steriization. The controer consists of a wipe cean touch screen measuring 122mm x 94mm and is based on an industria PLC controer, combined with a number of anaogue and digita input/output modues. The controer software has been deveoped by Aste for the precision contro of autocaves. Integra Data Printer The printer provides a permanent and traceabe record of: Time Temperature Pressure Batch No. Cyce Name. RS232 Interface This aows cyce progress to be monitored on an externa computer equipped with suitabe software. Ethernet Interface Via VNC Viewer. Aows visua dispay of autocave touch screen. Recorder This can be either a continuous paper trace with one or more pens recording temperature/pressure, or aternativey it can be video graphic, dispaying cyce detai on a screen and saving them to memory for reca at a ater date. Liquid cyce options Serious consideration shoud be given to these options when processing iquids, particuary when the oad is ikey to contain seaed bottes or pastic containers. Load Sensed Process Timing Load Sensed Process Timing aows the steriization cyce to be controed via the temperature achieved in the centre of the oad. The operation of oad sensed process timing is controed via the Logi programmer. A wandering probe, situated within the chamber is inserted into the oad, or oad simuator, and initiates the steriization period once the probe reaches the programmed threshod temperature. A seectabe Profied Overshoot Boost speeds up the cyce and minimises over-processing of media oads. This same probe can be used during cooing as confirmation to the Logi programmer that the oad has reached a safe temperature for opening the door. Assisted Air Cooing A powerfu fan-assisted cooing system which greaty reduces the time taken to coo-down a iquid oad. The operation of the Assisted Air Cooing system is controed via the Logi programmer and is avaiabe on a modes. Advanced water cooing Water is circuated through cooing cois in contact with the chamber, resuting in a rapid decrease in the temperature of iquid oads advanced water cooing offers substantia time saving and is idea for any department where a quick turnaround of iquid oads is required. Note: Square Section modes are generay suppied with Jacket Water Cooing as standard. Interna Convection Fan Cooing Fans are sited within the chamber itsef. These create turbuence reducing cooing time greaty. When incorporated with an externa cooing system such as advanced water cooing, interna fan cooing is one of the most efficient ways of cooing the chamber. Deuge Cooing This system aso provides interna deuge heating. By passing sterie recircuated water over the oad heat up and cooing times are reduced ensuring an overa reduction in cyce times. ONLY SUITABLE FOR USE WITH FLUIDS IN SEALED CONTAINERS. Integra Air Baast For autocaves with a vacuum pump and processing fuids. Particuary usefu when processing iquids in seaed containers as it provides a controed reduction in chamber pressure during the cooing phase, effectivey preventing the boiing over of botted fuids or the gass breakage that is frequenty associated with rapid cooing systems without air baast. Externa Air Baast For autocaves without a vacuum pump and processing fuids. Particuary usefu when processing iquids in seaed containers as it provides a controed reduction in chamber pressure during the cooing phase, effectivey preventing the boiing over of botted fuids or the gass breakage that is frequenty associated with rapid cooing systems without air baast. If compressed air is not avaiabe on site a compressor and suitabe air receiver must be ordered with this option. Non Re-Circuation System (Compact Modes) Seectabe for Liquid and Discard oads. Wastewater is fed through a siicone tube to an externa container or drain (instead of to the integra reservoir/condensate botte). This system is usefu in situations where bockage or contamination (e.g. by escaped media) is anticipated. Auto-Drain This feature can be seected on any cyce and wi substantiay decrease the time required to coo the chamber to a temperature where the door can be safey opened, especiay when used in conjunction with Water or Air Cooing. At a pre-seected pressure during the cooing phase of the cyce, the water reservoir remaining in the chamber is evacuated to the drain. Auto-Fi must be ordered in conjunction with this option. As the discharge water wi be approx. 100 C we woud highy recommend that the - Exhaust Heat Exchange System is aso ordered when specifying the Auto-drain option. Dry cyce options When processing dry or semi dry oads such as porous oads, texties, instruments, pastic discard, or instruments/equipment of a compex nature where air remova may be difficut and/or where the oad needs to removed dry the foowing options shoud be considered. Vacuum Systems The presence of air in the oad may inhibit or even invaidate the steriization process. The addition of a vacuum pump wi enhance the air remova by removing entrained or trapped air from the oad, and therefore aowing steam to access every part of the oad and ensuring the success of the steriization process. The vacuum system can aso be used in the post steriization stage, and when used in conjunction with a heated jacket or externa vesse heating, wi ensure dry oads. Note: Aste offer two eves of vacuum: Simpe and Advanced: Both offer pre vacuum air remova and post vacuum drying, with the Advanced system offering a more intense pre-vacuum which makes it suitabe for more demanding appications. Externa Vesse Heating Provides improved temperature distribution during steriization. Drying efficiency is aso enhanced. Fu Heated Jacket A stainess stee steam jacket around the chamber providing improved temperature distribution during steriization. Drying efficiency is aso enhanced with this option and it is therefore essentia this option is specified for autocaves where fabrics/texties/porous oads and wrapped instruments are being steriized on a reguar basis. Pusar Free Steaming This optiona feature ensures adequate air remova from difficut oads. The continuous opening and cosing of the vent vave greaty increases turbuence at the Freesteaming stage. Pusar freesteaming is avaiabe for a non-vacuum modes.

Auto-fi (Automatic Water Fi) (Eectricay Heated Modes Ony). The Auto-fi option automaticay maintains adequate water eve within the chamber. This is a fuy automatic system comprising an interna reservoir tank which accepts mains cod water at 0.2 6.0 Bar pressure. The water inet is controed by eve switching and incudes an air gap to compy with water reguations. The unit is readiy connected to the water suppy via a 1.5m fexibe hose (suppied). Exhaust Heat Exchange System An option to significanty reduce the temperature of the exhaust/waste in situations where heat resistant drains are not present. N.B. This option requires a mains water suppy. Option for CAT III Compiance (Vacuum Modes) For modes with a vacuum pump or externa steam heating. Steam enters the chamber through the drain which is seaed during the cyce ensuring a condensate is steriized. A bacteria retentive fiter fitted onto the exhaust ensures nothing eaves the chamber without being steriized. The positioning of the fiter ensures that it is steriized during every cyce. Option for CAT III Compiance (Non Vacuum Modes) For modes without vacuum, or with heaters in the chamber, the bacteria retentive fiter is fitted to the exhaust ine and is sited to ensure that it is steriized each cyce. Loading system Consisting of Externa Troey/s & Interna Truck/s. Externa Troey: Mid stee, powder coated, with stainess stee runners to accept Interna Truck. Interna Truck, stainess stee: Fixed base shef, pus fuy adjustabe upper shef. The truck has roers which run onto stainess stee rais which are fixed into the base of the autocave chamber. The reguar action of bow-down (usuay for no more than a few seconds) reduces the buid up of dissoved soids, eongating the ife span of the generator and its heaters. In the absence of a bow down vesse, adequate, safe provision shoud be made for bowing down the steam generator as part of a panned preventative maintenance schedue. The Nedorn Gassware Dryer The Nedorn Dryer provides an economica and efficient method of drying and storing most containers, gassware and pasticware. In the aboratory, voumetric fasks, measuring cyinders, test tubes and simiar equipment can convenienty be dried and then eft on the tubes unti required. For pharmacies, the unit can be used for most types of dispensing containers incuding pastic. The Hearson Tobacco Oven The Hearson Tobacco Oven has been designed to meet the stringent requirements of the industry for moisture testing. The oven provides a continuous fow of pre-heated air which passes over tared sampe pans for drying purposes. The unit comprises a cyindrica drying chamber in which is paced a stand carrying 12 circuar copper trays; each tray is designed to take six stainess stee sampe pans (TKE186). The top of the drying chamber is encosed by a hinged insuated id. In the centre of the chamber is an air distribution tube through which pre-heated air passes over the pans to faciitate the drying process. The drying chamber is encosed in a second, arger chamber providing a combined water reservoir and steam boier in which is housed a copper coi. An immersion heater maintains the water at boiing point. Surpus steam is discharged from the top of this chamber to an air cooed condenser, with the condensate returning by gravity to the reservoir, thus sustaining the water eve. An eectrica bower at the base of the oven passes air through the heated copper coi; it then enters the drying chamber through the air distribution tube. After passing over the sampe pans, the air escapes to atmosphere via the vent provided in the centre of the id. The oven is controed using fused on/off switches for both the heater and air bower. An ammeter is fitted above each switch to indicate the combined oad. Air fow through the drying chamber is reguated by a vave and measured by a rotameter caibrated over the range 2 to 20 itres/min.
