For very special occasions When considering venues for your Wairarapa wedding, choose The Horseshoe Room at The Farriers. Established in 1951, it is iconic to Masterton with its unique shape and Art Deco interior, and perfectly sized for intimate parties. Located at the north end of Queen Street, The Farriers offers picturesque outdoor photo opportunities nearby, with a parkland area with willows and stream at the rear of the venue, and Masterton s Queen Elizabeth II Park just across the road. The Horseshoe Room s latest interior refurbishment was Art Deco inspired, providing a little glamour for your indoor photography. The Wairarapa climate is blessed, but whatever the weather on the day, you can hold your civil ceremony inside or out. For your heart s desire Helping you with the details is our priority. We provide flexible catering options depending on your preferences and budget, and our chefs will consult with you on the menu design. The Farriers is fully licensed, however, if you prefer, we can serve your own wine throughout the event at no additional charge.* We can also cater for multicultural occasions. FLOOR PLAN & SEATING perfect for intimate weddings with a touch of GLAMOUR The Horseshoe Room has a unique curved shape with high wrought iron windows looking out onto Masterton s oak-lined Queen Street. Seated, we can cater for up to 80 guests. We provide round banquet tables which seat 8-10 people, or if you prefer, we can arrange square or rectangular tables at an additional charge. Alternatively, up to 140 guests can be accommodated for a cocktail-style format. The Horseshoe Room can be divided into two separate areas, for dining and socialising. And for an intimate indoor ceremony, a short aisle can be created between two rows of seating, beneath the high windows and natural night. The day after The Farriers Bar & Eatery is open every day and on weekends we serve brunch from 9am. We welcome your wedding party back to the venue the day after, for a casual brunch, lunch or morning tea next door in the Bar & Eatery, for those last moments with loved ones before they depart for home. Venue BOOKING INFORMATION The Farriers iconic Horseshoe Room is available for hire and is particularly suited to special occasions of a more intimate size, catering for up to 80 guests seated or 140 standing. Our team can provide everything for your wedding or event to make the occasion as easy and as enjoyable as possible. We are aware that many venues and caterers have numerous additional charges that event organisers may not be aware of unless specifically asked about before booking. Therefore at The Farriers, we have kept our pricing policy simple and transparent. Please find below the key venue hire guidelines, which should be read in conjunction with our Terms and Conditions of Booking. T H E Full day Evening-only Day-only Room hire: Low season April to October: $5 High Season November to March: $1,0 Fee includes: Full and private use of the iconic Horseshoe building and courtyard from 9am till 12.30am. Staff for your event from 2pm to 12.30am. Prior to or after this time may incur an additional charge. All furniture, all tableware and the serving of your own wine throughout the event.
