The main purpse f this psitin is t: 1. Lead the delivery f the 2015-2017 Strategic plan in Krea as well as the design f the next Strategic plan as per the 2015-20120 MSF-K visin 2. Lead the design and versee the delivery f annual plans thrugh managing a team f staff and vlunteers, and ensuring the effective peratin f the ffice within the OCG-MSF-J gvernance framewrk (MU) 3. Represent MSF, and serve regularly as a spkespersn fr the mvement, in Krea (media, dnrs, NGO, plicy makers, gvernment etc) 1
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Be the legal representative f MSF in Krea, and represent the ffice internatinally within the MSF mvement Design strategies and activities fr the develpment f the ffice, with the input f MSF-CH and MSF-J supervisry cmmittee, under the versight f the Executive directr f MSF-J in 2015 and f MSF-CH in 2016 Crdinate the senir staff in defining bjectives, pririties, rganisatinal plicies, and respnsibilities fr each department Revise bjectives and plans in accrdance with current cnditins 1. Strategy, planning and general management The Directr is respnsible fr develpment, btaining and implementatin f annual and multi-year plans (actins and budgets) and their review. (S)He ensures activities within the cuntry meet the MSF standards and the Krean legal Cde. (S)He is respnsible fr the develpment f the ffice staff in cperatin with heads f departments. Prpse and implement strategic rientatin f MSF-K, building n the strengths already established in the ffice Supervise the develpment and implementatin f Annual Plans and Budgets, insuring gd perfrmance levels and quality in wrk Oversee the recruitment and lead MSF Krea senir staff in line with MSF-K plicies and management practices, t include annual perfrmance reviews, quality supervisin and supprt Occasinally, attend specific MSF platfrms and prject grup meetings internatinally and lks fr ways t realise the ptential f MSF-K cntributin t peratinal respnsibilities Accuntable fr surcing strategic and technical supprt in a timely manner as per the Management and Supprt Framewrk Accuntable fr the establishment f effective and efficient back ffice supprt prcesses, systems, legal and cmmercial cntracts, and ways f wrking 2. Fundraising Private & Institutinal Funds The Directr is in charge t develp activities with high ptential and apprpriate t the Suth Krean market and culture, cnfirmed by fundraising test (n-line, F2F, and Crprate) Lead the prcess t develp fundraising strategies and yearly/multi-yearly targets and ensures that PA and activities prperly reflect thse strategies. 2

Representatin & Cmmunicatin The Directr is the active advcate fr MSF s psitins and interests, within Krea. (S)He is respnsible fr develping and maintaining MSF s reputatin and maximising its impact with the medical cmmunity, Gvernment/Parliament, dnrs, media and Krean-based internatinal rganisatins. (S)He is respnsible fr: Be the public face and spkespersn fr the rganisatin when apprpriate Play a leading rle in c-rdinating MSF s varius advcacy effrts in Krea t ensure that MSF- K s messages are effective and cnsistent Develp, with the Cmmunicatin Directr, a gd understanding f key media utlets fr MSF-K messages, and building these int the strategic thinking. Apprve all publicly available dcuments prduced by MSF-K 4. Active Recruitment C-rdinate with the HR department in Tky and Geneva t maximize the recruitment and matching f Krean aid wrkers Develp a gd understanding f the Krean recruitment market, and building a lnger term strategy fr maximising MSF s recruitment ptential Supprt Active Recruitment Act as pint f cntact in Krea fr issues cncerning Krean based field staff 3
5. Finance, Accuntability, gd gvernance The Directr will ensure that the highest standards f financial accuntability and transparency, accrding t Krean law and accepted standards f gd practice. Accuntable fr the achievement f MSF Krea s incme target, gd financial management, including expenditures cntrl budget planning and the rganisatin and fllw-up f Accuntable fr identifying, mitigating and reprting key risks t MSF Krea and the delivery f its bjectives Develp and grw an assciative base in Krea Respnsible fr prviding regular reprting (n a quarterly basis minimum) cvering all MSF-K activities t OCG and MSF-J Ensure successful year end audit and Annual Return filing. Exchanging infrmatin and gathering input fr MSF-K Bard and reprting t the team regarding Bard decisins QUALIFICATIONS Essential A passin fr and cmmitment t the humanitarian principles f MSF. A minimum f six years in directly relevant wrk experience in a humanitarian rganizatin, including 4 years at senir manager level, Demnstrated experience in change management Demnstrated ability t set and achieve ambitius targets Gd understanding f public fundraising and cmmunicatin Able t demnstrate the ability t lead, manage and mtivate a small grwing team as well as empwer managers and fster a creative, prfessinal wrk envirnment. Strng interpersnal skills, including the ability t respnd effectively t sensitive inquiries and cmplaints. Desirable Experience in public fundraising Spken Krean and/r French an advantage. Knwledge and understanding f the Krean market in general and in particular the Krean NGO and plitical sectr.
