ABOUT HALOGEN FOUNDATION SINGAPORE Founded in 2003, Halogen Foundation Singapore is a values-based, not-for-profit Institution of Public Character (IPC) dedicated to youth leadership and entrepreneurship development. At Halogen, we believe in investing in the future of our nation. We seek to inspire and influence a generation of young people to lead themselves and others well. Leadership and entrepreneurship is not about positions of power but personal influence. With the right opportunities, each young person can reach their fullest potential and make a difference in their respective spheres of influence. By developing an entrepreneurial mindset, youths can be equipped further to positively contribute to society. Our goal is to make quality leadership and entrepreneurship development opportunities available and accessible to all young people regardless of race, income or religion, especially those who are disadvantaged coming from challenging family backgrounds and/or on financial assistance schemes. Over the last twelve years, we have impacted 114,091 youths to date through our programmes and events. To achieve this outcome, we design our programmes through the domains of Inspiration, Education and Action. By partnering organisations and youth influencers such as educators and parents, we seek to impact young people through: Leadership And Entrepreneurship Development: We offer programmes with strong track record such as the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship Programme (NFTE), The Leadership, Habitudes and Everyday Leadership, to equip youth with mindsets and skillets to prepare them for their future. Connecting Learning within and Beyond Classrooms: We create opportunities for youth to interact with community and corporate partners in our programmes for experiential learning to take place. Youths are given platforms to make practical and positive contributions to their schools, communities and families in areas that they are passionate about. Tracking and Assessing Transformation: We use pre and post measurement metrics in our programmes to collect feedback and insights to enhance the impact of our programmes. Tracking of such indicators in the youth landscape also provide us with insights to youth trends that are important in designing for change. Bringing Stakeholders together and Building a Community: We organise community events to bring stakeholders together to communicate and champion the cause behind our work. We connect and engage with these communities through both online and offline platforms. We invite you to join us, as we embark on a journey to make this dream a reality.
