This was awarded following a thorough assessment on how eco friendly staff and children are at school. The Eco Council did an amazing job explaining what we do every day at Mousehold. I continue to be very proud of how embedded Eco work is within the school community. Thank you for all of your support. Children In Need was a day to be very proud too. The school raised over 400. Storytime and Songs This will be held in the library. Please book your slot at the library to ensure your child can enjoy the full session. Class Assemblies this term and next: NEW TIME 9.15am Friday 2 nd December: Class 6 Friday 20 th January: Class 7 Friday 27 th January: Class 8 Friday 10 th February: Class 9 Friday 3 rd March: Class 1 Friday 10 th March: Class 5 Friday 17 th March: Class 2 Midday Supervisory Assistant Vacancy We have a vacancy for a Midday Supervisory Assistant ( MSA ) The hours are Monday to Friday 11.50am to 1.35pm., term time only. The hourly rate is 7.52. The role will include lunchtime supervision of children in the dinner hall and playground. It will also involve cleaning tables and setting up tables. We are looking for someone who is committed to good attendance and punctuality and is a good team player. If you are interested please collect an application form from the school office. Closing date is Friday 9 th December (12 noon). Interviews will be held on Friday 16 th December. The job will start on Thursday 5 th January 2017. There will be relevant training provided soon after the start date including Safeguarding Training. We are committed to safeguarding all children. Attendance Please can we remind you that if your child is unwell it is important to ring school and either leave a message on the answer machine or speak to the ladies in the office to give a reason for absence. The classes with the highest weekly attendance over the last half-term are: Top Dog winners: Class 4, 5, Top Cat winners: Class 7 twice! Class 9 Library opening times and chance to look at books and displays: The school library will be open to families after school every Friday from 3pm 3.20pm. During this time the classrooms will be open for you to look at your child s books and see their progress.

Friends of School Monday 21 st November: Friend of School meeting 1.30pm All welcome. Tuesday 22 nd November and Monday 5 th December from 1.30pm: Preparation for fayre. As much help as possible is needed please. Friday 25 th November: Non uniform day for chocolate donations. Wednesday 7 th December Christmas Fayre after school. Setting up from 12 noon (helpers needed please) Friends of School are asking for some donations of wine prior to the fayre. Thank you. Mrs Beaumont Brown Class 8 We wish Mrs Beaumont Brown all the very best when she starts her Maternity leave. She will be leaving us in the next few weeks to enjoy preparing to be a Mum. Scooters and Bikes We have had a few occasions recently when the wrong scooter/bike has been taken home. Sometimes there are more than one scooter/bike looking very similar. Please double check the one you take belongs to your child. Many thanks. Sleep workshops by Sleep East Are you or your children struggling to get a good night s sleep? A FREE Sleep Counselling workshop for parents/carers of children with sleep deprivation to be held at: Under One Roof, 100-102 Westwick Street, Norwich, NR2 4SZ on Monday 12 December from 10.30-1pm Our qualified team specialises in support for parents/carers of children with complex and additional needs. Our Sleep Well, Live Well workshop covers the following : The Physiology of sleep Why is my child not sleeping? Sleep information and strategies Keeping a sleep diary Developing a good bedtime routine Maintaining a good sleep pattern Plus - Everyone attending will be provided with a comprehensive sleep information pack
