President s Report Welcome Recognition of Our 40 th Anniversary Incorporated in 1975, our first president was Mary P. Hood In 1999 we changed our name to MASSACHUSETTS Association for Healthcare Quality We have been a state affiliate of NAHQ since 1983 Mission The purpose of MAHQ is to advance excellence among healthcare quality professionals practicing across every specialty by providing opportunities for professional growth and to promote collaboration within the healthcare quality community. 2

President s Report Core Values Excellence Set high professional standards and support Health Care Quality (HCQ) professionals in promoting standards of excellence in healthcare practice; we invest in each other and value individual and cultural differences that make us strong.
