19 ANCC AGN-BC Advanced Genetics Nursing Launched December 15, 2014 Certification administered through Portfolio Assessment Eligibility criteria: Current, active RN license within state or territory or US and equivalent for international candidates Hold a graduate degree in nursing (masters, post-graduate, doctorate) 1500 practice hours in the specialty area of advanced genetic nursing in the past 3 years Completed 30 hours of continuing education in advanced genetics/genomics applicable to nursing in the past 3 years Fulfill two additional professional development categories selected from 5 categories Renewal every 5 years
