Enrollment Guide Saving with Scrip Sharon Slatery, Scrip Coordinator TJBandScrip@gmail.com or slateryfamily@cox.net 703/799-4411

You are only steps away from being able to order not just any old gift cards, but gift cards that put money in your child's fundraising account and support the TJ Band Program. Better yet, you can pay for the cards online with the touch of a button, you can print some of the gift cards on your home computer whenever you realize that you can use them, and you can reload funds onto some of your favorite cards overnight. So let's get you signed up. How Do I Order? The easiest way to order scrip is on your own computer, and paying online brings you even more benefits. But if you do not have a computer at your disposal, or if you just prefer to keep track of your transactions on paper, you still have the option to submit an order on paper at any time, and also to pay by check, even if you place your order online. Let's look at your options: Sign up once for a ShopWithScrip account and for a PrestoPay account. Your accounts last forever. Go to www.shopwithscrip.com and place scrip order 24/7. I want to order scrip NOTE: Scrip is no longer going to be available for PURCHASE at football games, band concerts, etc. Go to Band Boosters website at www.tjbands.org and follow links under fundraising, or contact TJBandScrip@gmail.com to get an order form. At end of order select to pay with PrestoPay Put check in scrip envelope in the band hallway, or mail to Sharon Submit form and check in scrip envelope in band hallway or mail to Sharon at home. 1) Print ScripNOW at home for Amazon and Home Depot. 2) Immediately reload cards for Starbucks, CVS, AMC Theater and others. 3) Wait for Sharon to process remaining order. Sharon approves orders. (Reloads and ScripNOW paid online happen immediately and doesn't need coordinator's approval) Students pick up scrip from Sharon Thursday morning during JLC (8:15-9:00am) in band hallway. Scrip will also available for pickup at marching band practices, events and concerts. TJ Band Scrip Page 1 Enrollment Guide

When Do I Order & When Do I Get My Scrip? "Scrip Day" is every Thursday during JLC (8:15-9:00am) in the band hallway. This is when materials will be collected from the envelope in the band hallway, and this is also when scrip ordered the previous week is delivered. Paper orders and checks collected one Thursday will be processed for delivery the following Thursday. You may order weekly, monthly, or just periodically. Placing an order online gives you a few extra days in which to place an order. Online orders with Online payment -- Online orders can be placed and paid for online 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. Orders placed and paid for online by midnight on Sunday will be delivered on Thursday of the same week. Online orders with payment by check -- Online orders can be placed 24/7, but the check needs to be submitted before the order is approved for processing. Checks can be deposited in the TJ Band Scrip envelope in the band hallway at any time and will be collected on Thursday mornings during JLC (8:15-9:00am) and processed for delivery the following Thursday. Checks may also be mailed to: Sharon Slatery, 1109 Potomac Lane, Alexandria, VA 22308. Paper Orders with payment by check -- Paper Orders with checks can be placed in the TJ Band Scrip envelope at any time. Orders are collected once/week, on Thursday mornings between 8:15 and 9:00am, and are processed for delivery the following Thursday. Paper orders can also be mailed to: Sharon Slatery, 1109 Potomac Lane, Alexandria, VA 22308. When can I start ordering? Remember: Thursday is "Scrip Day" You can set up your family account at www.shopwithscrip.com and also your PrestoPay account (on the Shop With Scrip website) immediately. We will place two orders in September, and then we'll begin placing weekly orders in October and will continue throughout the school year. Adjustments to the schedule may be necessary around the holidays and will be announced in the "Announcements" section of your Shop with Scrip homepage. September October-June Order #1: Thurs., Sept. 2--Paper and Online orders due; Thurs., Sept. 9--Scrip delivery. Order #2 : Thurs., Sept. 16--Paper orders due; Sun, Sept. 19--Online orders due; Thurs., Sept. 23--Scrip delivery Every Thursday -- Checks & paper orders collected/scrip delivered; Every Sunday -- online orders due. How do I set up my account? 1) To order online, you must set up an account at Shop With Scrip. Go to www.shopwithscrip.com Click in the green box on the left for "Family Sign Up: Create Account" Create a user name (your email address is fine). Create a login password and enter the other account information as required. Be sure to enter your student's name in the "Account Information." This is how your family rebate will be applied to the correct student. Enter the TJ Band ID #8275B9758861 when prompted. The system will then show you that you are connected to TJ Band Boosters. At this point, you may place an order online immediately, but when you check out, your only option at this point will be to pay by check, which means you will need to deliver a check to me through the band hallway before your order is completed. 2) To pay online, you must sign up for PrestoPay Click on the blue bar at top of page where it says, "You do not have a Presto-Pay account. Click here to create one." Enter your bank account information Create a PIN Verify PrestoPay o PrestoPay will make two small deposits ( a few cents each) in your bank account within one to two days. o Check your bank account (online or by phone is fastest!), and note the two deposit amounts. o Return to www.shopwithscrip.com. Click on the blue box again, where it now says, "Your Presto-Pay account has not been verified. Click here to verify." o Enter the two deposit amounts and your PIN. o You will receive the message: "You have successfully verified your PrestoPay account information. To complete the enrollment process, you will need your program coordinator s approval. We will be sending you an e-mail that contains a unique approval code. Contact your coordinator with that code, and they can then approve you to make PrestoPay purchases. If you do not get the approval code, contact your coordinator and they can send you another." Confirm with the Scrip Coordinator o When you receive the email from PrestoPay with your enrollment approval code, forward that email, or the code itself, to Sharon Slatery at TJBandScrip@gmail.com. The Scrip Coordinator confirms with you o Sharon Slatery will confirm to PrestoPay that you are associated with the Band Boosters, and she will also send you a confirmation that you may now pay for your orders online with PrestoPay. Now Can I Order? Yes! Go to www.shopwithscrip.com. Login with your email address and the password you created. Browse the categories or print out a list of the retailers available (after choosing "Browse", there is an icon in the lower right-hand corner to print out the full list or retailers). The site is very user-friendly, so feel free to look around and follow the links to place your first order. But if you need help navigating the Shop With Scrip website, click on the "User Guide" link on the left side of the homepage, after logging in. It explains all of the steps very well. When you "check out" you will have the choice to pay by check or pay by PrestoPay. If you choose to pay by check, make sure your check gets to the envelope in the band hallway by Thursday morning for delivery the following week. Or you can mail it to my home: Sharon Slatery, 1109 Potomac Lane, Alexandria, VA 22308. If you pay with PrestoPay, you're done! Your delivery will be on Thursday for orders placed by Sunday (midnight), or the following Thursday if you missed the Sunday deadline for the week you're in. Think about how to "Shop With Scrip" to make the most of the program for you and your family. Save your shopping cart to "Favorites" to make it easy to reorder some basics every month. Try to print some Amazon.com scrip at home. Buy a card from the reloadable list so you have it ready to reload the next time. Have a restaurant card tucked away for your next family dinner out. Have a pizza card on hand for the next time you order out for pizza. Check out the clothing stores to see if you regularly visit any of them. If you shop at Kohl's with a Kohl's credit card, buy a Kohl's gift card to pay off your next bill. And if you need more ideas, don't hesitate to contact the Scrip Coordinator, Sharon Slatery, at TJBandScrip@gmail.com. Glossary of Terms Great Lakes Scrip The company that actually sells the scrip we purchase. Orders placed on ShopWithScrip are submitted to Great Lakes Scrip by the Coordinator. PrestoPay payments are made to Great Lakes Scrip directly. www.glscrip.com Organization ID The TJ Band ID is #8275B9758861. PrestoPay Rebate Reload Scrip ScripNow! An optional program within ShopWithScrip that allows you to link your bank account to your scrip account in order to pay for scrip online. The discount offered by each retailer on their gift cards. A 7% rebate means that the Band gets to keep 7% of the face value of the card. If a family buys a $100 gift card, the band pays $93 to purchase the gift card and keeps $7 for the band ($4.20 to student fundraising credit, $2.80 to band for general expenses). Some vendors offer the option to reload funds onto a card you have already purchased and used. With this option, you order a "reload", pay with PrestoPay before 3pm, and then the funds are reloaded onto your card overnight. This only works with cards purchased through our scrip program, and reloaded funds are only credited to the program if done through ShopWithScrip. "Substitute Money", usually in the form of gift cards but sometimes as gift certificates, purchased at a discount to benefit a non-profit organization. Some vendors offer the option to print gift cards on your home computer. If you pay with PrestoPay, you can order your scrip one minute and head to the store ten minutes later with your scrip in hand. ShopWithScrip The website that manages the scrip ordering process for families and organizations. www.shopwithscrip.com Student Fundraising Credit Your student receives a fundraising credit equal to 60% of the rebate earned on your orders. If you purchase $600 worth of groceries with a 4% rebate, the band keeps $24 ($600 x 4%) from your order, but credits $14.40 (60% of $24) to your student's fundraising account and keeps the other $9.60 for other band expenses. You may use your student's fundraising credit to pay any band expenses throughout the year. TJ Band Scrip Page 4 Enrollment Guide
