Diary Dates Student Stars Step into School Games Club & Breakfast Club From the Principal Family Twilight Sports The Twilight Sports have been rescheduled to Thursday 16th April due to forecast cold and wet weather for tomorrow. Our Twilight Sports on Thursday April 16 includes: 1.30pm 2.30pm Sausage Sizzle and drinks for sale & Giant Games on the oval 2.30pm 3.30pm House Sports fun races and events We would love parents, grandparents etc. to join us at our Twilight Sports on April 16 and we would like everybody to wear their house colours. Healthy Eating at Bayswater Primary School School Council is taking time to think about how we can encourage healthy eating in a fun filled enviornment. We want our children to be healthy and we want them to be happy. We want to have celebrations such as class parties, Easter and Pancake Tuesday while teaching children to make healthy, balanced eating choices. School Council will send a survey home to parents about this during Term 2. School Council is looking forward to hearing your thoughts about this topic. Change of Days for our Chaplain Our School Chaplain, Jacqui, will be at school each Tuesday and Friday (instead of Monday and Friday) from

the beginning of Term 2. Easter Raffle Our Easter Raffle will be drawn at a special assembly at 2pm in the hall on Friday. We have over 20 prizes to be won. Thank you to all our wonderful families for the generous donations. Coffee and Chat Don't forget our next Coffee and Chat on Monday April 13 in the staffroom after school assembly. Last Day of Term Friday 27th March is the last day of Term 1. We will have our usual free dress and crazy hair day. Please bring a gold coin donation. Students will be dismissed at 2.30pm. I would like to wish all our families a wonderful holiday and a restful Easter. Term 2 commences on Monday 13th April. From Our Chaplain From Term 2 onwards, Jacqui will be at Bayswater Primary School every Tuesday and Friday (not Monday/Friday). Games Club will run every Tuesday morning from 8.30am in the ELC

Food Support will be available every Tuesday after school in the ELC Brekky Club will continue every Friday morning in the ELC If you have any questions or would like to contact Jacqui please feel free to contact her on 0410 121 283 or leave a message at the school office. Brekky Club runs every Friday morning from 8.30am in the ELC. All students, parents and staff are welcome to join. Donations are needed for cereal and nut free spreads. All donations are most appreciated. Please leave with Raelene in the office, or in the ELC kitchen near the microwave. Step Into School Step into School will be held every Monday commencing the 20th April from 2.30pm 3.30pm. This program is for 4 year old children. If you would like to enrol your child in this program please fill out an enrolment form which is available from the office. New Smoking Bans At Schools In Victoria, the places where children learn and grow are now smoke free. From 13 April 2015, smoking is banned on the grounds of, and within four metres of an entrance to: Childcare centres Kindergartens (or preschools) Primary and Secondary Schools Under the Tobacco Act 1987 smoking is now unlawful in these areas and could result in an infringement penalty of $147. Some councils have also introduced local laws that prohibit smoking near childcare centres, kindergartens and primary and secondary schools, so make sure you check the signs.
