4 th December 2015 Carols Concert Our Annual Carols Evening will be held at school on Wednesday, December 16th with an alternative date of Thursday 17 th December in case of wet weather.

Parents and friends will be welcomed at the basketball courts from 6.00pm by the year 6 drumming ensemble. It is anticipated that the evening will conclude by 9.00pm. Unfortunately, if it rains on both days the Evening will have to be cancelled.

A note with the final date and program will be sent home on Friday 11 th December after we have accessed the long range weather forecast. Students are invited to wear Christmas colours on the night: red, green, gold, silver & white Compass This week we have rolled out a new service for families called 'Compass'. This will be another means of communication between the school and current families. Parents can now login to Compass via the 'Compass Login' button located on the school website homepage. Each primary family has been sent a unique login for Compass which can be used straight away. Parents can login and pay the school charges using a credit card through this portal. Please be assured this is a secured online gateway and Compass complies with the most stringent levels of security standards. Compass are unable to store credit card numbers in full on their system so your details are safe. The instalment option available through Compass is 3 payments deducted from your credit card on the following dates: 27 th January - $ (50%) 15 th April - $ (30%) 15 th July - $93 (20%) We will remind you through the news feed on Compass when these instalment dates are coming up. We can also set up individual payment plans through Compass using your credit card but you will need to see Lindy, our Business Manager for this option. During a transition period through to full implementation of Compass, payments can still be made at the office using the green payment summary form previously sent home. We will accept cash, credit card (Visa or Mastercard) and EFTPOS. Cheques will not be accepted. Art Show As a result of the overwhelming success of the 2015 Kororoit Creek Primary School Art Show, several pieces of student artworks have been selected to go on display at the Zart Art Gallery in the Box Hill Student Gallery for Term One Galleries such as this provide dedicated spaces for Young Artists to showcase their work to an audience outside their immediate peers. This is both an exciting and important part of any artists development which enables them to display their work and receive feedback and congratulations from immediate influences such as their school, teachers, principal and of course their parents and the wider community. You are invited to support the wonderful effort and artistic outcomes of our students by attending the Gallery at the Zart Customer Service Centre 4/41 Lexton Road, Box Hill North from November 27th 2015 until March 16th 2016

2 End of Term There will be both Junior and Senior School assemblies, as usual, next week in the School Gymnasium. To celebrate the end of the 2015 school year we will also be holding our traditional sausage sizzle for children and their families who are invited to join us at 11.30am on Friday 18 th December for P-1 assembly or 12pm for sausage sizzle. Due to the number of children at the school, as usual, our assemblies will be held separately for the Junior and Senior schools prior to dismissal for all children at 1.30pm am 12pm Junior School Assembly (Prep and 1) 12.45pm 1.15pm Senior School Assembly (Years 2-6) Book Pack Collection Book packs can be collected on the following days: Thursday 21 st January Friday 22 nd January 8am 6.30pm 9am 4.30pm Next year, when you have paid the charge (either in full or with the first instalment paid), you have the option of collecting your child s book pack from the classroom on the first day of school. However, if you chose this option, the pack will need to be taken home, labelled and returned to school the next day. Whole School Photo Whole School photos are now available to be purchased online by following the steps below. Go directly to the online ordering page: or go to the website ( click school photography then click purchase photos and then click team and special group photos. Select your school from the drop down box and begin your order. From this page you can decide which prints you would like to purchase. Select and enter the quantity of photographs required next to the relevant group name and follow the steps to confirm your order and make your payment. After payment is complete, your web browser will display your receipt. Please print this page for your records.
