0. Did you previously have Curtin Staff Email set up on your iphone? If no, proceed to Step 1. If yes, you just need to change: - Username: YourStaffID@curtin.edu.au - Server: m.outlook.com A. Tap Settings B. Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars C. Tap the existing Curtin Staff Email account D. Tap the Account name E. Tap Server F. Delete email.curtin.edu.au G. Type in m.outlook.com H. Tap username (you may need to go down the screen a little) I. After your Staff ID, add @curtin.edu.au J. Tap Done and it should then verify... K. Tap Mail... L. Press the Home Screen button Note: It can sometimes take a few minutes, depending on how much mail you have... When you next access your email, you will probably be prompted to re-enter your password. Page 1 of 5
1. Tap on the Settings icon 2. Tap on Mail, Contacts, Calendars You may need to scroll down a little 3. Tap on Add Account... You may need to scroll down if you already have other email accounts on your iphone Page 2 of 5
4. Tap on Microsoft Exchange 5. Fill in the following fields: Email: YourEmail@curtin.edu.au Domain: Leave blank Username: YourStaffID@curtin.edu.au Password: Your OASIS Password Description: Curtin365 Email Notes: Your Curtin Staff email address will probably be something like: firstname.lastname@curtin.edu.au or firstinitial.lastname@curtin.edu.au. Contact the CITS Service Desk if you do not know your address. The Description is not important it can be anything you want 6. Tap Next This should verify your details Page 3 of 5
7. Enter the name of the Server, if required Wait for the Server field to appear... The Server may find itself (in this case pod51012.outlook.com), if not... Enter m.outlook.com in Server field Then tap Next 8. Choose whether you wish to have Mail, Calendar and Contacts synced If you choose to have Contacts synced then you may get prompted to Keep or Delete existing contacts... 9. Tap Save It should now configure your sync Once it s finished syncing, you can change various settings if you wish, like: - Show X Recent Messages or - Fetch New Data from Push or tap Curtin365 Email and - change Mail Days to Sync All of these can affect how much data you download and thus the cost incurred. 10. Delete the old Curtin Staff Email If you previously had your Curtin Staff Email on your iphone, you need to delete it or you will not be able to send emails from the new Curtin365 Email BUT... a word of warning... It can take a while for the new email, contacts, etc to come on to your phone. If you rely on data in your email (eg mobile phone contacts like I do), then once you delete the old account, there may be a little while before you have this information back on your phone again. 1. Go to the Mail, Contacts, Calendar menu 2. Tap on the Account you wish to delete 3. Tap on Delete Account 4. Tap on Delete Account to confirm 5. It should then start removing the account 11. You should now have access to your Curtin365 email on your iphone Note: It can sometimes take a few minutes, depending on how much mail you have...
