1 Faculty & Staff: Office 365 Migration Over the next few months, Berry College faculty and staff accounts will be migrated to Office 365. This means that all of our s are being moved to Microsoft s servers instead of being hosted on premise. Don t worry, you will not lose any s when the migration occurs. You will be notified via about a week before your migration occurs. Small groups of users will be moved at a time to ensure that there will be plenty of technical support for those who may need it. Please check out the following links for more info. After the migration, if you encounter issues, please contact the Technical Support Desk by ing computing@berry.edu or by calling (706) When your account has been migrated to Office 365, a few changes will need to be made on your computer if you re using Microsoft Outlook and/or a mobile device to check your ! Click to be taken to the section you need: Outlook for Windows Outlook for Mac Mail for ios Devices (iphones, ipads, ipods) Mail for Android Devices Security Information

2 Outlook 2013 for Windows 1. A notification box will appear either while you are using your , or right after you open it. You will also notice that your s have stopped syncing automatically. Click OK and close Outlook completely. 2. Open Outlook and upon launching, you will be prompted to authenticate. Enter your address and password, check the box to remember your credentials, and click OK.

3 3. If you are prompted, accept the server settings, check the box to remember this setting, and click Allow.

4 Outlook 2011 for Mac 1. Open Outlook 2011 for Mac. 2. If you are using Outlook for the first time, please skip to step 3. Click on the Tools menu and select Accounts.

5 3. The Accounts window will appear. Click on Exchange Account

6 4. Please provide the requested information: address: Primary address Method: User Name and Password Username: Primary Address Password: Berry Password Configure automatically: Checked

7 5. If AutoDiscover succeeds, please skip to step 6. If there was an error in the information or AutoDiscover fails, you will see an additional window appear for Server. In the server field, type outlook.office365.com

8 6. A popup will appear, saying that a redirect has happened and the server would like to configure your account. Verify that it looks similar to the screenshot below, check the box next to Always use my response for this server, and then click Allow.

9 7. An account called "Berry will show. The account will then start to populate

10 Mail for ios Devices Please note: This guide is for staff who have been notified that their Outlook accounts have been migrated to Office 365. Before setting up on your device, please make sure it is connected to Wi- Fi. 1. From the Home screen, select Settings

11 2. Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars If you already had the account on your phone, please remove it by selecting the account and selecting Delete Account at the bottom.

13 3. To add the account back, select Add an account

14 4. Select Microsoft Exchange Enter your following details: address: - Example: Password: <your Berry network password> Description: My Berry this can be whatever you want Select Next

15 5. Enter the following details: Server: outlook.office365.com Domain: AD Username: Password: your password 6. Select Next 7. Select the options you would like to synchronize.

16 8. Select Done Once you have added your account, return to the Home screen and select Mail to synchronize and view your account.

17 Configure Office 365 on Android Please note: This guide is for staff who have been notified that their Outlook accounts have been migrated to Office 365. If you are encountering problems following the migration, please first delete your existing profile and create a new one by following the instructions below. Before setting up on your Android, please make sure it is connected to Wi- Fi. Configuration 1. Go to Settings.

18 2. Select Accounts then Add Account

19 3. The Add Account screen will appear. Click on Microsoft Exchange Activesync

20 4. The setup screen will appear. Enter your Berry and Berry password then click Manual setup.

21 5. Make sure the domain is in the format where your username is your Berry username e.g. jdoe Change the Exchange server to outlook.office365.com Click Next

22 6. The following screen will appear. Click OK 7. On the next screen click OK

23 8. Select Activate.

24 9. Select Activate.

25 10. Setup will be complete. Click Done. Your Berry will be added to your inbox.

26 Security Information By connecting to the Exchange server, you give Berry College OIT access to control certain features of your phone. This includes being able to remotely wipe the device, forcing the use of a passcode, and monitor failed password attempts to unlock the phone. Please note that this is a standard feature of the Exchange service, has always been in place, and is true for every mobile phone. Although Android phones warn users of this security setting, other mobile devices don't. You should be aware that Berry OIT has no desire or interest in accessing any of these features, and will not do so without the express request of the user (e.g. if your mobile phone is lost or stolen, we can wipe the phone's contents for you). We cannot remove this functionality from the Exchange service (Microsoft would have to do that); it is a standard feature.
