We hope that you find the information within this pack useful and that it helps you to build a good picture of the exciting opportunities at the school. North Huddersfield Trust School opened in September 2011 and as a Trust school, we are very lucky to have the support of an excellent group of Trust partners, which provides fantastic support and advocacy for the school and has been fundamental to our early success. s a relatively new school, we have achieved so much in a short space of time. very positive ethos has been created and this will hopefully be the basis of our success in years to come. The school aspires to be the school of first choice for local families and growing student numbers reflect excellent progress towards this goal. We have set ourselves challenging but achievable long term targets across all aspects of the school and are on track with virtually all aspects of this, achieved in no small way through the hard work and determination of the staff group. Pupils, parents and the wider community have bought into the vision and the plans and there is a cohesive feel to the work of the school. There is also no doubt that much work remains to be done. Whilst we are aware of the fantastic progress we have made, we need to be realistic and in the harsh world of Ofsted, we know that they would currently see our school as one that needs to improve. However, this does not daunt us, as we have a clear plan for improvement and we acknowledge that we are not yet where we want to be. There is a whole range of challenges ahead, but with challenges come opportunities and excitement. Thank you again for taking in interest in North Huddersfield Trust School and we look forward to hearing from you. ndy Williams Executive Head Teacher Loz Wilson Head Teacher 2
