Our Mission The Mission of the is to provide unique learning eperiences focused on the Chattahoochee River that connect people to the natural world and empower them to positively impact their local environments. Our History 1998 1979 Present Day The (CNC) is located on the Chattahoochee River in Roswell and sits on a beautiful site comprised of 127 acres of native plants and gardens that showcase the beauty of Georgia. CNC s property includes a River Boardwalk, Discovery Center, wetland demonstration gardens, woodland trails, and the wildlife walk that is home to over 0 species of injured, non-releasable wildlife. For nearly 40 years, CNC has continued to grow and reach out to citizens as a place to eplore new ideas and epand the awareness of our natural world. Family Fun Events at CNC In order to meet the needs of our community, CNC has developed Family Fun where our visitors are able to enjoy special programming while keeping the epense low for families. These provide enhanced learning opportunities at no additional cost to families beyond admission to CNC. These opportunities provide unique moments for families to eperience new things in the outdoors and enhance their time together. CNC s goal is to provide opportunities for families to be able to recreate on our property through fun dynamic programs and attempt to eliminate any barriers to participation. Family Fun For The Love of Birds February 21, 201 We love birds! Birds are incredible animals, are crucial to keeping our ecosystem healthy, and well, they are beautiful! Come out to eperience live birds, live music, and leave with a greater appreciation for our feathered friends. Back to Your Roots Farm Fair April 4, 201 The Back to Your Roots Farm Fair will have visitors discovering how to get back to their roots through engaging hands-on activities, demonstrations, ehibits, and live performances focused on the farm! We hope to empower visitors to lead the way in understanding, preserving and protecting our natural resources. Live music, farm animals from The ArtBarn, face painting, outdoor games, garden fun, hands-on activities, and more! Water Day August 2, 201 The community cools off during this fun day all about water! Children wear their wet gear as they learn and play with activities including stories, games, crafts, and more. Outdoor Skills Day September 27, 201 Fall is the best time to eplore our natural world. Visitors participate in demos and workshops to help them enjoy being outside. All ages will connect with nature on Outdoor Skills Day whether scout, day hiker, or even an eperienced camper, all are sure to gain new skills. Reindeer Day December 201 Our th annual Reindeer Day is sure to be a highlight of the winter season. Live reindeer join the other animals at CNC to help everyone get in the holiday spirit. Gather around the campfire, enjoy hot cocoa and more. Other Opportiunities for Sponsorship Throughout the year, CNC offers festivals and other for familiy audiences, as well as with a focus on adult audiences.
