1 Farm & Food Leadership Conference 2015 Sponsorship and Exhibitor Opportunities The 9th Annual Farm & Food Leadership Conference will be held on September 25 th and 26 th, 2015, at the Brazos Center in Bryan/College Station, Texas. The event is produced by Farm and Ranch Freedom Alliance (FARFA) and our 501(c)(3) sister nonprofit, Council for Healthy Food Systems (CHFS). A wide range of participants, including consumers, farmers and ranchers, non-profit leaders, local food activists, members of the media and bloggers, and other individuals and organizations will gather to learn about vital policy issues affecting independent agriculture and our local food system. Approximately 250 people attended the 2014 conference, and attendance is expected to increase significantly this year. Will you help by becoming a sponsor of this great event that inspires, educates, and supports the local food movement? Your support will add greatly to the quality of our program, speakers and materials and every contributor will have opportunities to share information about their business with attendees during the conference. Additionally, your name will appear before potential customers in promotional materials online and in print both before and after the conference. Exhibitor Booths For the first time in conference history, we are excited to offer opportunities for exhibitor booths and we expect our exhibitors to be an integral part of the conference this year! There are a limited number of booths available so please secure your space as early as possible. Sponsorships Sponsorships provide critical support for the conference, including paying for the facility, food and beverages, printed materials, and audio-visual support. These supportive opportunities begin at $50. Enclosed you will find the Sponsorship Levels outlining the benefits for different levels of sponsorships, some of which include advertisements in the conference program, conference registrations, memberships to FARFA, and advertisements in our member newsletter. Food Sponsorship In addition to cash contributions, FARFA also relies on local farmers, ranchers, food producers and other businesses to donate ingredients for snacks and lunches. This allows us to showcase the excellent food produced in Texas, while keeping the cost of the conference low. The lunch will be prepared by Jesse Griffiths, a top Texas chef and leading voice for local food cuisine. Silent Auction Donations Please also consider donating to the on-site silent auction and/or online auction. Last year s silent auction raised almost $4,000 and included gift certificates, hand crafted items, agricultural and food books, consulting services, custom cooking classes, farm tours and stays, and a chef-prepared meal. Scholarships for Limited Income Attendees Scholarships provide generous funding for those unable to pay to attend the conference, helping us to empower the grassroots community. Many of the people who apply for scholarships are farmers, students, and nonprofit staff who have limited incomes but would like to get more involved as leaders and activists these individuals are vital to growing our local food movement!
